Reports of an explosion and gunfire near the U.S. Embassy in Sanaa, Yemen, has forced security officials to seal off the area, according to the Associated Press. The U.S. and Britain evacuated personnel from Sanaa in August due to terror threats. Yemen is in an ongoing battle with Al-Qaeda's local branch.

Update: Reuters is reporting that the explosions people heard near the embassy were fireworks ignited in celebration of a wedding. Those blasts prompted security guards to fire live rounds into the air. Some of the people who let off the fireworks have been arrested.
