Shutterfly lets its users photos out, almost

Shutterfly, so your guests can get that wedding bouquet tossing shot on a mug or whateverShutterfly, the photo-sharing website for those who want to share their vacation photos on a T-shirt, is launching a feature today called Share Sites. Now users can display their photos in a gallery that looks like the rest of the Web. But they still cannot do what rivals have allowed for some time — to actually get their photos on a MySpace profile. Why not?

CEO Jeff Housenbold told Bits "There has not been a tremendous amount of demand for that from our customers." It's kind of sweet, actually. There are still people out there who think the whole Internet doesn't need to see what a better life they lead in pictures. Also, there are 8 million-plus subscribers to AOL dial-up.
