For the students of Westport TAPP, an alternative high school for pregnant teenagers and teenaged moms in Louisville, Kentucky, studying for the SATS and applying to college isn't the only thing on their plate. Many of these girls featured on the show have had extremely hard childhoods, contending with homelessness and even sexual abuse before ever erring on the wrong side of the teen pregnancy statistics. Going with the new network model of "All the Pregnant Teenagers That Are Fit to Televise," MTV may be onto something with the ridiculously titled Baby High. Lacking the tackiness and willing stupidity so often displayed on both 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom, Baby High brings something bordering on genuine pathos to the table. Watching these girls struggle with paternity drama, worry about finances and frankly discuss a woman's right to choose is all the more difficult since it's painfully clear that they're truly trying to improve their circumstances and make a better future for their children. In short, so for you this is just a good time but for the girl's of Baby High this is what they call life, mmmm.
