Saw Ethan Hawke at Izakaya Ten in Chelsea - he was dressed super casual, reading through a script and having a beer. He must have liked the script, because he was laughing a little at it.

So I'm walking down Church St. in Tribeca yesterday after work at about 6pm. I'm looking down and fiddling with my ipod and up ahead I vaguely notice someone walking towards me whose also not paying attention and totally engrossed with their blackberry. About 10-15 seconds later, we nearly collide. Startled and somewhat embarrassed, I look up and excuse myself. The other guy, an incredibly well-dressed Ethan Hawke, looks up and says very politely, "no, no, excuse me."

This was a lot more exciting before I saw the recent post about an EH sighting at Qdoba…saw Ethan Hawke at Le Grainne (21st and 9th) around 8:30 this morning. Almost didn't recognize him because he looked so darn baby-faced—my breakfast buddy thought he was just another 2 kool 4 skool vaguely homeless-looking Chelsea-ite. He was pretty oblivious to almost dumping his coffee on my head, though, so points off for that…

Ethan Hawke sitting outside at The Maritime Hotel having and bitching about the custody arrangments in place with the kids. He was with his assistant / manager and he also launched into a tirade about work and people coming to his house to work. Complained about the fact that he had an office and didn't understand why they had to come to his house. He was very left coast about it!
