Subway Doors Fail to Close, Train Carries On Without Them

You know those signs above subway doors that warn passengers not to lean against them? Well, it seems Russia has found a foolproof way of enforcing that seldom adhered-to rule: Eliminate the doors.

A Red Line metro train in St. Petersburg recently suffered a malfunction that prevented its doors from closing.

But if you think that prevented the train for keeping its schedule, you clearly haven't been watching YouTube videos from Russia.

Most of the passengers didn't seem to mind because, again, Russia, and took the opportunity to get up close and personal with the view.

Joked one commenter that it wasn't the door mechanism that was broken, but rather the air-conditioner.
