Mrs. Newsom? Another procedure and she'll be Cindy McCain.

@BullfightsOnAcid: Um...You should explain to your aunt that some people are in touch with a little thing we call "human empathy".

My grandma is very very old and has lived in SF her entire life. She is absolutely obsessed with him; her fridge has a bunch of Newsom articles arranged on it, and she still tells us about the time she met him and he was "so handsome in person". Its adorable.

Like Baroness said, his personal troubles haven't made me like him any less - its made him more human and relatable.

All in all, Newsom is just an everydude who isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes in politically, and that's why I've always admired him.

Kimberly Guilefoyle, on the other hand, scares me a little.

"Tessa Newsom worked three jobs to support Gavin and his sister Hilary Newsom Callan. In an interview with The San Francisco Chronicle, Newsom's sister recalled Christmas holidays when their mother told them there wouldn't be any gifts.[10] Despite limited finances, Tessa opened their home to foster children, instilling in Newsom the importance of public service.[10][5] His father's finances were strapped in part because of his father's tendency to give away his earnings.[5] Newsom worked several jobs in high school to help support his family."[2]

1. "Rippey-Tourk" is probably the best last name that I have ever heard. Seriously.
2. Newsome should have words with Octo-mom about how not to use children as props.
