Huh. That's too bad--or maybe it's not. I will say that when I freelanced for 23/6 this fall, I had an excellent experience, they paid well and on time, and they were cool. I hope that continues with their new absorption into the land of HuffPo. They've got cool staff; they should do well.
@hypocriteoath: We don't hate O'Reilly for "bias". It's not "bias" if you spell out your opinions, and that's what he and everyone else like him (including KO) do. There are plenty of conservative commentators that liberals feel just fine about. George Will, for example.
What we hate O'Reilly for is the fact that he's a total asshole. And he has created a culture now where everyone thinks that the way to ratings success is not through any particular insight, but through out-assholeing Bill O'Reilly.
K.O. doesn't say things like "go to Alabama and you'll be killed". He doesn't tell his guests to "shut up", repeatedly. He doesn't call Jamie Spears a "pinhead" for being pregnant while underage and then say that Sarah Palin's daughter should have her privacy respected for the same transgression. That's the difference.
That said, K.O. does go over the top in his commentary, fairly often, hence a video like this made by liberals, who are not unafraid to make fun of their own. SNL did the same in a 9 minute sketch skewering K.O. a few weeks ago.
The times might be a changin' but man, there were some nights that Keith O, Stoli and cranberry juice were what made the difference. We're going to forget soon enough - but it's been a rough eight years.
@Hey_mikey: The homeless guy on the corner told me he's giving up his favorite drink, Sterno through a sock, now that happy days are here again, but he still loves him some KO.

i loved k.o. before i found out he didn't vote...
i still like his special comments, but i'm glad SOMEONE (thanks 23/6) put him on the spot for being so self-righteous.
