    Tying this thread together: Will Arnett (I Canadian?) is married to Amy (Poehler? I married her!) of Parks & Rec.

    Even though the "zero performance experience" might not have been true in Tina's case, she's still kind of not that great of an actress. Writer, sure! I'm sure most people disagree, but I don't find her engaging onscreen at all. Her eyes are completely blank and her lines, while mostly funny, always seem a little flat in their delivery. At least she seems to be sharing more screen time with the other actors as the show progresses. Personally, I'm waiting for The Alec Baldwin Show, Starring Tracy Morgan.

    @TableNein: Not sure how it was that insidery that you couldn't laugh at it. There were enough general subject matter jokes to make it work. Funnier than the "Parks" and "Office" episode that preceded it. Although the "Office" had a great cringe/laugh think going with the "Scott's Tots". Kind of amazed they were able to milk some humor out of kids getting cheated out of a college education.

    @A Message To Rudy: There were some amusing moments, sure. But the overall quality of this season has been lacking. The unpredictability and wit of earlier years is gone and now it feels phoned in. Frank's caricature of Liz Lemon is on par with Liz Lemon's caricature of Liz Lemon. Oh look, ham!

    @A Message To Rudy:
    Parks and Rec has totally won me over, beginning with Amy Poehler ruling the Pawnee gay bar. The first season was the biggest disappointment of that TV year, but it's now a solidly amusing little show. The boss guy is always spot on, like with the breakfast buffet bit. And I really laughed when the overweight guy says he's always wanted Aziz Ansari's bod. Hm, maybe I just enjoy humor about men struggling with their weight.

    season 1 was amazing. season 2 was the shit (minus a couple post-writers strike stuff). season 3 had amazing highs and lows. and season 4 (for me anyway) has been absolutely brutal as a whole. i know my standards are ridiculously high but i feel really disappointed so far this year.

    Since Gawker already announced that the only NBC show they watch is 30 Rock, you missed the fact that The Office limited their "green" part to a Dwight joke at the very beginning of the episode, and Community satirized Green Week by having the dean of the community college start a Green Week that no one was interested in.

    Tina Fey is funny, 30 Rock is funny, but they aren't THAT funny. Clever - yes. Overly hipster - yes. But her reign at NBC has only produced the kind of humor that relies too heavily on the moment. I have a hard time watching reruns of her work, and she still gets beat by Family Guy and South Park in terms of water-cooler conversation (except in NYC, where the rest of the world doesn't exist). When I watch 30 Rock I do a lot of smiling but not much laughing. And why hasn't Cathy Guisewite, the author of the "Cathy" comic strip, sued Tina Fey for copyright infringement. Tina does a great Sarah Palin, but then again Sarah does the actual writing.

    I work at NBC. The TVs and computers stay on all night. Everywhere. You get scolded by the techie guys if you turn them off. And every kitchen is stocked with those one-serve coffee machines with the little plastic cups of coffee grounds, which NBC does not recycle. But hey, at least the peacock is green.
