    An overall message of personal failure, father issues, and the decline of the American family, combined with large-breasted women.
    Also, sometimes people get their feet chopped off.
    Differences from Mad Men: Well, its a cartoon. Also, more lasers and slightly less ridiculous costumes.
    Reasons to watch: Think of it like Mad Men for the Adult Swim crowd.
    Reasons to avoid: Think of it like Mad Men for the Adult Swim crowd.

    Call me crazy, but I believe Brian missed one:

    Sleep
    Similarities to Mad Men: Both can provide mentally-stimulating, original entertainment from the ideal comforts of your home.
    Differences from Mad Men: You may end up in Dreamland's Mad Men cast, and Matthew Weiner probably wouldn't script for Don Draper or Joan to do those things to you on camera.
    Reasons to Watch: Like Mad men, you won't feel guilty for ending your weekend this way. And you'll be happy you chose it the next day over the other 10pm dreck.
    Reasons to Avoid: Thanks to Jay Leno, no one would blame you for foregoing sleep to take in whatever 10pm primetime TV you can find these days.
    Replacement Analogy: Sleep is to cold pizza as Mad Men is to fresh pizza out of the oven. #madmen

    There was one scene in Desperate Housewives where I laughed out loud last night: Susan dragged Mike up the stairs for a quick nooner in between plumbing jobs, and told him he could even bring his sandwich with him. Bounding the stairs, he said gleefully, "I'm the luckiest man alive! Can I turn on The Three Stooges, too?"

    Someone made me watch ten minutes of the Cleveland Show (Fucking don't ever do this, ever, never.) then I punched him in the femur until he found Serenity on the SyFy channel (Because obviously Sci-Fi was too many letters) until Dexter started at 9. Not sure what I'll do next week. Watch a Snapped or Wedding Shit on WE! marathon. (No, not ever, unless there's money or edible virtual wedding cake involved.) #madmen

    I've been dealing with this quandary ever since I gave up pay TV (Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Rome, Deadwood, Dexter, etc.). But I have to tell you that PBS has been coming through for me big time. Last night I watched the first part of Collision and it was awesome. #madmen
