    @pantsonfireliarliar: Yes, the visuals are stunning in the movie, but it doesn't hold together too well as an actual movie. It's more like a beautiful coffee table book that had a plot (such as it is) awkwardly grafted on to it.

    @ChuffedLittleMuffin: I used to defend California, but not any fucking more! Although there are lawsuits afoot claiming that, because the CA supreme court declared bans against gay marriage unconstitutional, they can't change that through voter referendum. They're claiming that it has to go through the legislature and receive 75% support — we'll see if it works. Until then, we're protesting and raising every kind of hell.


    Also, I'm going to have the gay sex in protest.

    @Colonel Mustard: Hey, whatever works. How 51% of people can overrule the supreme court, I don't get. 75% is a number that speaks to me, so I'm all for the legislature thingy that you had did mentioned. Can a U.S. Supreme Court case be delayed until Obama is able to appoint a couple of justices? If so, I think it would be cool.


    Also, if you would be so kind, please kill the "black people did it" narrative that has taken shape. It infuriates me to no end.

    On a superficial level, since JFK's appeal was at least partially based on image, let me just say that the Obama family is even more attractive than the Kennedy family. Michelle has to be the hottest first lady ever, for real (though I still love Jackie). And Sasha and Malia are just two stunningly beautiful children.
