    It's a well-worn tactic, easier to set up and cover up than other measures. Paul Wellstone and Omar Torrijos were taken out that way, among others.

    He forgot to fuel up before taking off? This guy was obviously not a Boy Scout (motto: "Be prepared"). Clearly this raises some uncomfortable and serious questions about the guy's "family values" bona fides.

    @bjonston: I, like you, am having trouble conjuring the ill temper to care about this. Rove wasn't in the plane, that's the real tragedy. Wake me when something interesting happens, and by that i mean tacky and grotesque, preferably of a sexual nature.

    If your gonna testify about election fraud don't get in a plane. I don't care how experienced a pilot you are. Poor guy shoulda just waited in his house. He might have even been able to fight off the suicide setup team sent to kill him.

    @warezjesus: Yes.

    The dude was "afraid for his life", I've read there were two previous mysterious malfunctions in his plane, and yet he goes and does one of the riskiest things there is, regardless.


    It still stinks to high heaven, but it's unfathomable why he'd take the chance.

    Not that I think Rove is above cheating, but how does one "set up the system to shave votes?"
