    I've always been confused by the Phelps-as-nerd narrative. The guy is successful, an athlete, gets girls etc... Am I having trouble finding his Star Trek costume? His Dungeons and Dragons fetish? His collection of action figures? His predilection for intellectual pursuits over the physical?


    I always thought that jock was the opposite of nerd?


    Also, are there any other mixed-race pairings that we could mock? Maybe Gawker should create a whole subsite dedicated to ridiculing those who date across the tracks.

    She's older than him (26 ) & I have to say I'm kindof dissappointed- I thought if he was going to date an older woman, it would have been me!
