Considering that Maria Bartiromo was "carrying on" shall we say with Todd Thompson at Citigroup before he got canned I'd say "tough and professional" might indicate that she enjoys getting paid to "play rough" uh outside normal business hours.
Tom was just helping Katie hide a copy of the Mad Money 2 script in her shirt. It would have been mayhem if people found out about the sequel after the first one had changed all our lives so dramatically.
I love that Hannity did not get the very simple point Gibbs was making. What an idiot. And he doesn't understand the first thing about interviewing people. How about.. letting them answer the friggin' question. It's not all about you, jerk wad!
I think it's a shame that gimpy buck-toothed touchy-feely male feminists with lisps and lazy eyes won't get a chance to audition to fill Colmes's seat.
@Mediahohoho: No. It was as much opposition as he thought was marketable. And the liberals in this country better not get too cocky—they have not exactly been bastions of courage themselves any time in the recent past.
@Moff: There's plenty of approbation to go around. However. Put Hannity, O'Reilly, Rove, Bush, Goldberg, Ailes, Cheney et al in a situation where they could actually back up their big words by fighting, and they will all cave every time.
I've heard several Republican analysts/strategists comment about the problems within their party who actually get it. On the one hand, this is a good thing. They realize that the GOP is now associated with irrational religion (extremist), bigotry, and a lack of education...as well as fiscal irresponsibility (which is ironic). If the party is to be saved, it will be due to their efforts. And, frankly, the country can only benefit from their changing of this image.
On the other hand we see idiots like O'Reilly, Limbaugh, and Hannity speaking as pundits on behalf of the party. They clearly do not get it. They feel their party's problem is the spending of the Bush Whitehouse and once he's out, they'll be okay. That also benefits the country, because their decline will only continue w/that mindset.
Either way progress wins. It's kind of interesting from this vantage point.
Wow, that first clip of Colmes is kind of awesome! I didn't know he could actually offer more than an occasional limp defense of the Democrats every time Sean Hannity talked about how Obama wanted to blow up America or whatever.
(Also... why wasn't there any news articles about McCain's infidelity? That seems kind of odd, doesn't it?)
