NY1 has been mentioned once on 30 Rock thus far - when Liz is talking to "Thomas" from that first season episode and they talk about how people get murdered or die in New York City and their bodies get shown "on New York 1."

Anyhow, yeah, this should be a fucking epic episode.

Um, how dare they leave Roger out like that! You just know he's under the exit sign pouting, maybe reciting lines from Beetlejuice and perhaps a bit teary because now, of course, Pat will speak of nothing else for the next few newscasts, and Roger totally had a wicked hacky-sack routine he was just waiting to bring out on air tomorrow. But he knows nothing, nothing at all, is better than telling an Alec Baldwin story complete with actual footage! They'll probably get a beer after work and, and, maybe Pat will meet Billy, and Daniel, and Stephen! Fuck. Roger just bets Pat doesn't even introduce him or anything. He's already prepared..."Hi, Alec, uh, I'm Roger Clark, you know, field reporter and sometimes weekend anchor...No? Well, that's okay, uh, I really liked you in...huh? My tie? Oh, just mustard. You see there's this great cart out front..."

@allyzay: So absolutely vital! For Roger's sanity and ours. Thank you for finding this and making sure, Roger was in fact included in the day's activities. There could have been some sort of giggly awkwardness tomorrow morning (more so than regular mornings) if everyone's iphone had a "Me and Alec" photo and Roger just had "Me doing bitchin' hacky-sack down at Chelsea Pier."

@bombed_pop: Fail? No, not at all. I love Roger Clark. His and Pat's relationship is PRICELESS. I've watched him come into his own, but there are times, in the past, perhaps still, that Rog is a bit of a mess. A lovable mess, surely. (Did you see him break dancing?!) And Pat loves calling him out for it. I'm merely indicating that they are a team, almost like siblings, and in indicating such, Pat would surely rank on Roger if he got to meet Alec and Roger was out covering stockpiled road salt declines. Know what I mean?

I first learned of the magic ways of Pat Kiernan when he hosted a little-known game show on the WB called Studio 7. It was goddamn fantastic. They put a bunch of kids in an apartment for a week and made 'em study newspapers for current events and memorizing crazy lists of random things, etc (allthewhile enduring typical reality show drama bullshit), only to face each other in this crazy-ass spelling bee-type game of memory recall, with Kiernan's to-the-point style at the helm; the final victor winning $777,777 (lulz)

The final episode's final round with this chick rattling off about 200 freshly-memorized factoids concerning the International Federation of Competitive Eating: "Funnel Cakes. 62 in twelve minutes, Cookie Jarvis." etc etc. Kiernan's jaw was duly dropped.

I've said it before on this site and I'll say it again, the largest single block of ad money in the world goes to Television. And not by a small margin. TV remains the most effective way to reach your market in a measurable way; ad airs, sales go up. Not like with the web and all its fuzzy bullshit metrics.
