What exactly happened to Carville that he now looks like he does now? I was pondering with my mother that I was not sure how he was able to convince a human woman to marry him (after she commented that the man on the screen looked like a cadaver), but seeing this, I am realizing that something bizarre has happened to him over the last 16+ years. It's more than aging..it's like he is dying from the outside.

Now that he has been in the news so much and accepted the chief of staff position, I thought I should learn who Rahm Emanuel is. Thanks, Gawker for this tidbit. But to learn that his brother is the infamous Ari does not bode well.

I saw Ed Norton in the frozen section at Vons in Los Feliz today, I said, "Congratulations." He just gave me an evil look with the green eyes and all and walked away. Some people are just so lucky and don't even know it....or care. Of course I was wearing my Iron Man Halloween costume because everyday is Halloween, um bop, bop bop.

@Hey_mikey: Whenever I meet anyone famous (which is actually fairly often for living in a small rural Texas town) I always act like I don't really know who they are. Of course, when you act like you don't know they are famous is when they start acting all famous, trying to get attention.

There is one pretty famous resident of my little town who is a TV/movie star and he really doesn't like the townfolk acting as if he were special. It's Thomas Hayden Church (hehe, THC). I've never seen him out but most people I know have and they say he is very low-key.

@dirtyperty: This is the second time there's been a story posted here about people accosting him while he's grocery-shopping. The first time was someone having a tantrum on Craigslist because they approached him and he blew them off and they were all "I'm famous, too, you're a dick if you don't want to be BFFs with me". This implies that this is happening to him all the time. Maybe he's thinking, "Why the fuck can't I just shop in peace?" If so, I can't really blame him.

People were mad at Paul Newman when he stopped signing autographs, but he said he swore off them forever the day someone handed him something to sign when he was at the urinal. I'm not saying being a celebrity isn't also a tremendously fortunate thing or that they're to be pitied. But I get why they get sick of being approached.
