    Everyone in these articles are sooooooooo boring. They all are doctors or Jews or lawyers or WASPs from CT or blahblah. They all went to the same 20 schools. Occasionally they throw the gays a bone and have a semi-interesting about them. But even the gays are sort of trite - one is usually a decorator, architect or designer of some sort.

    Jesus Christ, I feel like I read the same goddamn announcement every week.

    @smhsmh: It's just that people who get married in the winter are boring. Why would you do that? There are 6 fun months to get married in. The other six are because somebody's pregnant.

Maybe there's a correlation with the modest statusy factor today- ugly guys better get that MBA and be world beaters, good-looking guys can sort of coast and coach kids' soccer in some leafy enclave.
