Here's a challenge: can anyone name one successful idea that Jetset Jimbo has had?! Wikipedia wasn't his idea, Nupedia was, but failed, OpenServing was, but failed, Wikia possibly was, but is stalling, Wikia Search possible was, but amounts to something like 0.0001% of searches...
Seriously, people keeping asking for his opinion on various things, and he keeps on giving it, but it's all based on the assumption that Jimbo founded Wikipedia, when all he actually did was reluctantly set-up the site in order to humour Larry Sanger, who'd idea it was.
But please don't forget to add that he also abandoned whatever friends he had as well as those who backed him financially when he needed them. He screwed them all.
Here's hoping for cosmic retribution sometime in my lifetime. And sooner rather than later.
@Ltic: 'cosmic retribution' - you mean a direct meteorite strike?! I have this image of God deciding that he's had enough of Jetset Jimbo's lies and hypocrisy, and deciding he'll perform an 'edit' himself.
Sorry there is only a Wikipedia article for it now.
Really, truth be told Mr. President, all I really want is a position on your cabinet. Have you gotten beachy with Richard Branson? You haven't? Well I have. So fork over the cabinet position.
The most cringe-worthy moment, if you ask me, was when Jimbo described Dr. Larry Sanger -- the co-founder who brought to the table the IDEA of a wiki-based encyclopedia, and who NAMED Wikipedia, and who acted for over a year as its "Editor in Chief" -- as... wait for it...
@thekohser: What a complete and utter bastard. It's so ironic that wikis are all about collaboration, with no one seeking sole credit, and yet Jimbo uses a Senate subcommitte to repeat his lie about him being the sole founder of Wikipedia. Presumably he thinks that by doing this it's now 'on the record'. Trouble is, 'being on the record' don't make it true.
@WilliamMarkFelt: Of course, one of the advantages of the wikification of government is that politicians will be able to edit past lies from the record. It would be a kind of utopia for Jimbo.
he has a quote from himself above a letter from himself next to a picture of himself in a huge banner over wikipedia. in other words, he's a visionary genius giving the world his gifts.
@shostakobitch: Many Wikipedia users put quotations on their userpage which they think are witty, meaningful, inspirational etc. Jimbo's put ten quotations on his userpage - but they're all from himself!! That says everything you need to know about the man. They include such useful, witty and inspirational gems as:

Or especially Open Serving, one that was really well thought through:

As a footnote, I actually posted a fake celebrity death report for Dash Snow once. I dunno, maybe it was just wishful projection.
