    @Carol Gardens: I completely agree. Park Slope in general deserves better satire than this. This is... who the hell cares what people wear on the playground? Who refers to their nanny as "having a forehead of lifelong suffering?" Who on earth gave this woman a book contract?

    @Lyesmith (Good joke. Everybody laugh. ): Thank you. Same thing I always felt about the Carrie character, who was totally unsympathetic to me, albeit in a slightly different, whiner way: always insecure, and always judging herself in relation to others, socially stuck in junior high and emotionally retarded (in that coffee house to her "friends": "But whhhyyyyy hasn't he called?"). Just grow the fuck up already and shut up!
