Letterman will always be the only one for me. Conan is cute in his own way but Letterman is quicker, smarter, has nothing to lose,thus his comedy is biting,funnier.

Conan. I've always found him a bit funnier and more happy-go-lucky. Dave can come off bitter some times (I know that's a plus for some). That and after that whole racist Sotomayor skit, I'm done with Letterman.

If I had my druthers I'd watch the old Letterman show reruns. That was Dave at his finest. He did deserve the Tonight Show gig and he was the logical successor to Carson. Something about late night went off the rails way back then and now it's a click fest at night.

I LOVE Craig Ferguson. He's hilarious.

I'm just wondering how someone who presumably gets paid to write about TV for a major publication doesn't know that Leno and the L&O franchise are both on NBC. As for the competition, for me there isn't any. Letterman 4-eva.

I'd prefer Leno and Letterman go out together like Sherlock Holmes and Professor Moriarty, so CBS could find someone who contrasts better with O'Brien. I'll watch O'Brien -- it's absolutely true that he's borrowed extensively from Letterman's playbook. I'd argue that he's improved upon it, too.

But! The idea of Conan in L.A. doesn't jibe. There's a slight possibility that this ConanTonight Show thing wouldn't be as good as hoped.

I love them both, but Dave is stronger on interviews (most of the time- it depends on the guest) and I've always liked Conan's skits and such better, so I think I'll watch Conan until the guests come on, and then flip to Dave.

I was never really a Letterman fan, but I was also never really a Leno fan either. I always enjoyed Conan for the most part but I think his humor caters to a different crowd & there might be a learning curve for both him & his audience in that time slot.

I just don't understand why Leno left a late night show to do another late night show. You know he is basically going to do the same humor.

Come to think about it, the only thing I liked about Leno was the headline submissions that he read. I am like a trained seal - easily amused.
