I will be horrified if all of my journal entries are deleted or otherwise lost. I've spent the last near decade on LJ and its' a huge important part of my life. I'm with RevHaloFan: How do I backup my lj entries?

@AlexandraNerps: Since I got burned last time I tried to get fancy with links: LJArchive. [fawx.com] Saves comments and has a search function just like the real thing.

LiveJournal, founded by engineer Brad Fitzpatrick in 1999, predated most blogging services and social networks, and anticipated many of their features.

Not to quibble, but I'd say it was the first blogging service.

@RevHalofan: Couple of options here. If you use an external client to update, apparently you can download entries with it (wouldn't know myself).

This one does it month by month: [www.livejournal.com]

And a couple of external options:

@Meiran: Thanks for that. I'll be looking into it since my LJ blog feeds into my own site. Looks like I'll be spending the weekend transferring over my blog. *Sigh*

I knew when Six Apart sold LJ to Moscow (huh?) that it would fall apart. *sigh*
