@snugbug: Every ad run in the past ten years in Japan is better than anything from his firm. The freaking AFLAC ads in Japan are hilarious and cute, let alone the wacky local shit.
Americans advertising is just a shit sandwich from top to bottom. If you pay attention, it appeals to one demographic: those who identify themselves as stupid.
Yeah, but Crispin Porter + Bogusky still does the coolest creative crap in advertising today. I'm basing my opinion on a book called HOOPLA, which I love--sort of a retrospective of their work. Any ad creative types willing to back me up on this, or am I whistling "Dixie" out of my ass?
@RollsRoyceRevenge: You're messing with me, aren't you, smarty-pants? The actual first line is "This book is good luck." I just checked.. =) OOPS, the nickel just dropped.. Nevermind. As you were..
@snugbug: Crispin is one of the best, but some of their new stuff is really edging toward crap. I'd say agencies like Droga5, Goodby, Wexley SFG etc have a leg up because they're not ruled by a douche.
Honestly, anybody who is not afraid to call P. Diddy a "fucking idiot" is OK in my book. Not to mention, the attempted head-butting incident scores him bonus points.
Don't you find something distasteful about these go-getter baby-tycoon boys who lose their virginity to girls too early? I mean, the poor girls (and does it ever get any better for them?)...
@Lucia Toledo: Um, there are things I find distasteful about them, but losing their virginity in high school (like the rest of us non-uglies did) isn't that big of a deal.

"Wait. How am I supposed to be successful without a job?
I hate to answer a question with a question but what is you definition of success?"
Well, Mokey-Fraggle-After-The-Sex-Change, probably to be able to proof my own rhetorical question-driven interview.
That would be me definition of success.
