Having been a teenage boy once, I have my own suspicions about what may or may not have happened. I personally doubt that any boy would submit to having himself be anally penetrated over online dick pics.
Again, rape is rape, but what if the rapes amounted to Stancl masturbating or performing oral sex on the victims? Does this distinction matter?
It would matter to me. If I were blackmailed, I’d rather be coerced into letting someone blow me than getting fucked up the ass.
Footnote: The charges are second- and third-degree sexual assault. Could a Wisconsin lawyer familiar with the statutes and relevant case law please comment on the likelihood of anal penetration in this case?

That's what I'm unclear about, too. These boys would have rather engaged in sexual acts with another boy instead of having nude pics of themselves disseminated? I mean, they weren't worried when they sent the pics? And they could always say that someone photoshopped their faces onto them?
Either these boys are pretty stupid or there's some other piece to the story.

I wonder what it's hard for this writer to imagine. Either he's saying it's hard to imagine such boys having sex with other boys, or it's hard to imagine such boys being raped through coercion. Either assertion is nonsense. And if the writer is throwing down a little third-person-limited narration here, I'd say it's been done very clumsily.

Right. This is the thing I don't get about the deal the fictional alterego offers to the victims: "Either you go have gay sex with this random weirdo closet case, or I'll embarrass you by sending out your naughty pics."
I'm gay as a picnic basket and have been out of high school since the 90s, so maybe I don't understand the weird mores of these kids today, but I would have thought that for the "unimpeachably straight," gay mouth-jobs would be completely off the table, damn the consequences.
Something about this story doesn't add up. But the lesson is an old one: if you disallow people the chance to grow up feeling that alternative sexualities can be accepted, you're going to create a lot of psychotic, repressed closet case monsters.
