I had many objections to the way she presented the story and her lack of understanding about systemic poverty and the deep-seeded nature of centuries of colonial domination and positions of privilege. Lord, that must have been quite the dinner table conversation growing up in the Maynard family. In my neighborhood, we would've said: Ma! I don't want you writing about me! I have to disagree with you on the first point you made about pacing. I think Glee is burning through too much story in one episode, much in the vain of The OC. The OC got so bad near the end that they just kept doing the same story lines over and over again, never allowing the characters to grow. (They never seemed to go to a party without a fight breaking out) I also don't think the characters are as rich as they should be. I think at times they go to the cliche space with each character when they should go for the more real. It's not as if zanny and real can't live in the same space. Look at Dr. Horrible.

I do agree that Dollhouse needs... something. But, as much as I love Glee, it has any faults as Dollhouse. It just happens to be a bit more fun than other shows so it's easier to dismiss the faults.

I think Joss knows and sees all the faults that are prevalent in Dollhouse and is working to resolve those issues. (I mean, did you see last Friday's episode?) Reply

Having a problem getting the Steel Fist Expert trophy in Uncharted 2. It showed that I completed it but I don't have the trophy. The weird thing is, I have the Steel Fist MASTER trophy, which is the same thing but you need to 1-punch kill 20 enemies instead of just 10. Apparently quite a few people have this problem and I just want to know if anyone here on kotaku has had this problem or knows a fix for this. #talkamongstyourselves Reply

I will admit my bias here as a research scientist myself, but the study is not saying hie thee back to the kitchen lest your children become diabetic beach balls - it's the media saying that. Critique the methodology all you want, but if it's sound, then don't reject the conclusion just because it's revealed an uncomfortable truth. Reply
