Oh, come on. He'll do fine. It's the Daily Show, not Meet the Press. I'm pretty sure that no one has ever lost an election because of an appearance on a late night talk show. And Jon Stewart loves him.

Why all the worry about this? Jon Stewart will pitch the slowest slow-pitch softballs you've ever seen, and Obama will hit every one out of the park. The jokes will be gentle and affectionate. And the dogs will bark and the caravan will move on.

Chris Matthews is all pissed off that he's rooted for the Yankees, Mets and Red Sox and yet now that his hometown team is in the playoffs (Phillies) no one from New York or Boston is cheering for them. That is because, CHRIS, no true baseball fan, especially a Yankee, Mets or Red Sox fan, gives a flying fuck about another team yet alone the Phillies. Just hearing that someone has rooted for the Yankees AND the Mets AND the Red Sox makes my teeth clench.

So Chris Matthews, squarely in the tank for Obama and hot off the disembowelment of Nancy Ptf...(whatever her name is...McCain strategist)...might be the only one who cares about the World Series. But since his loyalties are so screwed up as to warrant therapy, no one cares about him either.

Michelle was great on the Daily Show and Jon is squarely in the tank for Obama (has always been in the tank for Dems) and I think it will be great. Two of my favorite, intelligent people getting together for a chit chat should be alsome.

Obama should be fine. He'll be in friendly territory and (unlike McCain) he doesn't have big mess ups, idiocy, or ugly campaign tactics and hate incitement to be called on. He's a careful speaker with an excellent wit. And Stewart and Maddow are not people fooled into thinking Republican manufactured controversies are valid and relevant.
