    @CodePink: She's just engaging in a different form of prostitution by doing so. God forbid she should get a REAL job instead so she doesn't "have" to be a prostitute anymore.


    And since she's back at home with mom and step-dad the doctor now, go back to school. There are other options to going on TV to make a buck.

    @CodePink: Honestly, I'm still trying to figure out why she didn't take the money she was offered to pose nude (apparently $1 million to pose for Hustler and/or Playboy I think?). If I had already sold my ass for money, why not? Seems like she won't get a better offer than that.

    He used the name of the founder of Quakerism for his alias? That's kind of fucked up. I mean, I know they're a pretty liberal religious group, but I still think this is in poor taste.


    For the record, I was raised a Quaker. I also went to a Friends' boarding school outside Philly, and went to one of the few remaining Quaker colleges in the US. We do have electricity. We are not the fucking Amish.

    What exactly am I supposed to be feeling about this? I'm sort of at a loss. I don't feel bad for this Dupre woman because she's a prostitute and thereby pretty much the scourge of the earth. I don't feel bad for Spitzer because he's a disgusting piece of shit. And I don't feel bad for Silda because she's still with said piece of shit. I can't even remark about any of it really, because it's a situation that writes it's own jokes in its staunch bile-risingness and epic sadness.

I almost feel bad for Silda, but there's nothing on earth that would let me take back a man who's publicly humiliated me, exposed me to God knows what, and treated me like an asshole.     Did it ever occur to her that maybe the best thing to do right now is to just let it die? Maybe that dredging it up again and shining a light on it isn't the best way to help the wife of your john get over the fact that he would rather pay to schtup you than to have sex with his wife for free because he loves her?


    Oh, right... she probably doesn't care as long as she gets her 15 minutes with Diane Sawyer. Which kinda makes her... a hypocrite, maybe?
