    My only question is, how could any progressive support the Yankees? They are the corporate excess of baseball. They pay more for the left side of their infield than is spent on the whole roster of all the teams in Arizona. It's the same as rooting for Goliath or for PG&E and against Erin Brockovich.

    I love you Gawker, And i am nto saying lay off Olberman, but the whole "blaming somethign on his mothers death" stuff has got to stop. I have lost my mother over 2 years ago, haven't recovered yet. funny is one thing, you are really just being thoughtless.

    @JennaW: He has been bringing that up about every episode he's actually been there for. Maybe his dad took a turn for the worse and he's trying to get in as much time as possible. Especially since he just lost his mom as well, actually the same week I lost mine.

    @JennaW: That's what I thought as well. He's repeatedly brought up the fact that his father has been hospitalized and has at times been quite emotional about it. I just assumed his dad is doing poorly.
