Google is not even near collapse, the problem with this is that now they're net-bound only, there's no other media universe outside to conquer, which means that now on their ad business will only grow as much as the net does.

Plus there's the short term fact that tv ads still surpass online ads worldwide, so Google is not only losing a future market, but a big source of revenue that would come in handy right now.

@Maulleigh: Or get rid of some perks like free breakfast and dinner. Cut 40 employees who were probably passionate in helping Google win in the radio ad space or make people actually pay for breakfast and dinner? Hmmm... tough choice.

Is that analogy right, Owen? If I remember AP Euro History, the march to Moscow and its occupation cost Napoleon 3/4 of his men, and most of the remaining quarter died on the way back.
