    Awkward Family Photos has great submissions, but it wastes them with uninspired captions.


    Look At This Fucking Hipster has decent (though not brilliant) captions, and it's been very popular and talked-about in the brief time it's been around. So I recommended it, along with several other blogs, to my editor. LATFH is the only one with an anonymous author, so I asked publicly for their info. (I got it.)


    In any case, I'm not particularly championing that blog, nor is it my favorite, but it seemed good enough to mention to an editor. Personally I'm rooting for Craigslisting [craigslisting.tumblr.com] or White Whine [whitewhine.com.]

    technical question, probably to be answered by Bookish, who's the maven of all this: if you put together a book comprised of submissions, like this, or like Postcards from my Mom, can you be said to have "authored" the book? What's the correct term. "Assembled"?
