    @TristaAntilochus: I'm a little bit of a demented fan of Barbra, because she's such a glorious singer/actress. Mariah is not my cup of tea, but she honestly CAN sing. And I can appreciate that.

    @TristaAntilochus: Are you kidding me? Mariah Carey has one of the greatest voices of all time (and is also in the "Guinness Book of World Records" for the highest note ever hit by a human being). If this were The Suze Orman Show, your comment would be DE-NIED.

    The Foreigner cover is garbage. As is the Britney song -- c'mon, you should know better than to take music recommendations from Perez. Not only does "3" sound like "Low," it has a freaking Peter, Paul & Mary reference. (!?!) Brit needs to ditch Max Martin and stick with Danja ("Gimme More") and/or Bloodshy & Avant ("Toxic," "Piece Of Me"). Or just cover more Alanis songs, since her "You Oughta Know" cover was quite good.

    Apparently the Madonna album is full of botched mastering jobs, too. So be warned, the few of you who will actually spend money on a CD in 2009.

    (Also it's not all that hard to get current album covers! Amazon! I'm just saying.)

    MOAIA is a stone groove smash hit wonder. I've been playing it nonstop for eight days (don't worry, I'm going to buy an actual copy in a little bit), and it grows on me more with each listen.

    Also, IMO it doesn't matter that it's full of slow jams that aren't easily made into dance floor remixes (though there are a few tracks that actually are ready to be reworked and hit the club scene), because the true lambs have been waiting for an album like this, and they're going to buy it in droves.

    @noted book auteur mentioned above: FYI, Brad 1.0 is not doing so hot this week. The reviews of Inglourious Basterds are glowing, overall, but OMG! Everyone loves the Austrian actor who plays the bad, bad eeeeevil Nazi and ran away with the pic, and sort of piles on Pitt for being a bit of lame window-dressing (or box-office bait?).
