SPOILER ALERT: Burn Notice fans beware, the Times summary divulges the end of the coming season plot development, only 2 months before the episode airs. Sigh.
@naugahydeinplainsight: Speaking of spies, BBC's great MI-5 started a new run on WLIW (Ch. 21, Long Island-based public TV) last night, with repeats this weekend. After being butchered on the old A&E and then lost on BBCAmerica, it's worth checking out what look to be widesreen, complete episodes. I've heard it called a thinking-person's 24, as British agents led by Matthew MacFadyen fight terrorists of all stripes while trying to keep their souls.
@naugahydeinplainsight:@OwenKlient: I lost interest in MI-5/Spooks after they brought in Adam. He's so 'American' in style as opposed to the stoic, almost dour Tom. I can drop in from time to time, but I stopped caring about the arcs.
But the first 2 and a half seasons are pretty good.
@DanielMurphysLaw: I agree it lost a lot when the cast changed (ah Tom, Zoe, Danny!), but I was hoping those eps were better than they seemed in their A&E presentation. Looking forward to checking them out when they come around on PBS.
@Colander: See you had to ask, now you've drummed up my Joss Whedon ire. I'm so over him and his whole Eliza Dushku fascination/obsessive thing. It's going to suck egg sweat. Really. It is. And when he pitches a bitch at the network for not marketing his incestuous love child (because you know he will) he'd have wasted all this time on this crud which has been done to death, BTW , (Girl special agent who can fight...see Point of No Return, Alias, Dark Angel, even freaking Le Femme Nikita )when he could have been penning a Serenity sequel. Yah, yah, I know. No studio wants to make a sequel..whatever, dude. Maybe if they had a script, things would change, eh?
@Spirit Fingers: I'd sit through a Buffy movie before another Serenity. And yeah, me watching Dollhouse online probably won't be helping anybody (if it's worth sitting through). I don't know what to say about Dushku though--she's pretty? I'm honestly surprised Joss is the only one giving her work, tho.
Um...why isn't anyone talking about Rock of Love Bus? You know you're watching it, so don't pretend like you're not. In fact, why isn't it liveblogged? Can we do it? Can we? Huh?
I have been enjoying Friday Night Lights on some weird DirecTV channel. Probably me and three other people. But it's worth watching for the open alone...a wet and ripped Tim Riggins, arms outstretched, just waiting for someone to comfort him. Not that I've spent any time thinking about this.
@Hockeymom: seriously? i don't have directv, and clearly have been missing out. i'm totally looking for forward to some wet and ripped riggins back on network tv. or, more likely, on nbc.com. but whatever. how was season 3? better than 2? worse?
@Iceland_Spar: And the BSG writer's better have used their break to figure out a real ending, because if it turns out that we are all Cylons or something equally annoying, I will not be happy. At all.
"Lost" is all about altering reality -- which is how it manages to be one of the greatest, most awe-inspiring shows ever, except for when it's being one of the most annoying, disappointing shows ever.

I'll take a month off of work like the Europeans and summer in front of a computer screen with legal pad and get the Final Cut warmed up
