    If Obama and Rahm really weren't aware that Blago was being watched, I feel like we would have heard about a little incident where Rahm asked Blago to appoint Candidate 1, Blago asked for cash and then Rahm kicked him with a little grand battement en cloche and then pirouetted away into the darkness.

    @Nic Fit: Looks like Blagojevich approached Rahm and Rahm immediately called Fitzgerald and was all like "can you believe this stupid asshole?" Rahm is actually the good guy in this and, despite Pareene's apparent obsessive compulsive disorder, this has nothing to do with Obama other than the fact that it was his former senate seat being auctioned.

    @Nic Fit: @Mr. Kim Gordons Panties: Lol, in honor of what has become Triborough day, I will continue to believe that either (i) Blago fell behind on his payments to the Rahmbo political machine, (2) Blago slighted Fitzgerald's wife at some cocktail party or (3) there was some Rezko-Obama news about to break and part of the Chicago machine had to throw themselves on the grenade. In any event, this all has to do with Chicago being a place filled with horrible, corrupt, evil people so we shouldn't be suprised at all.

    When I was in Chicago last year I bought a Chicago shot glass, a Wrigley Field baseball cap, and an Al Capone hip flask. Had I know a seat in the Senate would be up for grabs, I would have whipped out the Gold Card.
