    I thought that was Mr. Stockdale, from fifth-grade. You remember Mr. Stockdale. He was that beloved, jolly, redheaded, slightly overweight teacher who was at once fierce but loving, and occasionally overly affectionate with the students to the point where, if it hadn't been a private school in a foreign country during the mid-1980's he might have gotten in trouble, but things being as they were he did not and fortunately nothing bad ever really happened and he will always be remembered as a nice if somewhat eccentric teacher from back in the day. No?

    As an American whose business is China-centric, and as someone who spends quite a lot of time in China and as someone who is deeply involved with Chinese culture, business, people, arts etc. I sometimes find myself looking to help excuse or explain away some of the, quirks, cultural differnces and occassionally fucked up, paranoid, crazy shit that still takes place there.


    In this instance there is none. As we say in Beijing, TIC. This is China.

    I have heard the title track from this CD, and it was okay. I kind of feel like, though, if you're spending seventeen years working on an album, you'd want more to show for it than that.
