    I don't want to cast aspersion at the dead or anything, but I'm wondering if the massive amounts of hair spray Kemp used to mold his hair into a helmet had more to do with the cancer than the conservative movement.

    When I was a college lad, and before Kemp was the VP Nom, there were rumors among Buffalo Gay community leaders he was closeted. Anyone else hear that?


    Also, when I was a journalism intern the Erie county legislature seemed to be a hotbed of Football -to- Republican politics action. Even my ex-gym teacher ran. Those were the days.

    @choinski: I remember those rumors. They never went anywhere or had any substance to them. They were probably untrue, though it was a more civilized time and political rivals wouldn't have spent a fortune trying to unearth whatever salacious mud could be thrown at the guy, unless it was really important to do so. Fortunately for Kemp, Bill Moyers was no longer a White House advisor at the time.

    Rather than an opportunist like Specter, why can't we Pennsylvanians have a REAL Democrat on the ballot in 2010?

    @Swordfish: I don't think OJ would kill him. He seems to confine his actual homicidal rages to female victims. He *might* have slapped his sunglasses off of his face, though. Or maybe robbed him in the most clumsy, crack-headed way possible with a gang of pitiful losers to back him up.


    But, no, OJ's still in jail in Clark County as far as I know.
