    Yeah, this seems bitter and sad and, consequently, the reason that I mostly only hang out with a tight circle of gay friends (like "The Broken Hearts Club" but less tragic, not less Lifetime original however).     @propertius: Your anecdote about the Stop AIDS meeting struck a certain chord with me. I'm actually not afraid of contracting HIV; however, since I decided to be celibate for the time and "not gay" in any normal sense of the word, many people have asked after my health with a peculiar kind of urgency, as though they were just barely able to stop themselves from blurting out "Do you have AIDS?"


    I saw him once, the one that I would find,

    a manly image of features variable and defined,

    but it was only in my mind.


    For now, celibacy is a physical barrier to prevent the spread of mental dis-ease.
