Ahahaha, wow. I never realized when I started posting how clique-y and self-absorbed Gawker commenters were ... I realize I might get lambasted for this, but it's quite hilarious the whole idea of "executing" commenters of a glorified blog. If this whole thing is a total inside joke amongst you pretentious blowhards, I've been totally had. Otherwise, I'm going to go back to just reading Gawker rather than actually commenting, because the fact that this even merited a post makes me hurl.
@leonleonleon: Generally it's pretty funny and usually, a lot of people who are true trolls get the ax and there is much jubilation. But today's were just a joke, as I read it. CodePink and Minsley were sort of ironic executions.
I was enjoying an appletini at the bar of the Four Seasons Hotel on the upper east side of manhattan (it was early morning--my second or third appletini of the day) when I spied Obama and ScarJo enjoying a quiet breakfast in one corner of the restaurant.
ScarJo saw me fiddling with my blueberry and asked me if I had a charger for her to borrow and then ScarJo, Obama and myself retreated to their private suite for a three way. Obama was so gentle....especially when I told him how I had lost everything I owned in my hometown of New Orleans in Hurricane Katrina and how I was present at the Jewish cultural center in Mumbai when the bombing occurred.....which reminds me those lonely wenches Seriously and Booklatkeish were engaged in a heated debate over whether "JAP" is anti-semitic on another thread. Got to run.
P.S. Can I still "friend" Minsley Tortimer if she is blocked from posting?
P.P.S. Please visit my page for all my personal messages to my many friends and followers.
P.P.P.S. Come visit me in espoo no? Obama is first Amerikan son of Finland. Very proud to have so many fine amerikan friend and follower on this site no? ciao.
P.P.P.P.S. God I hate helman. who do i have to screw around her to get her executed?
Sorry I had to run off like that. Beer called. So did "When Harry Met Sally," which has, like Annie Hall, so many great throw-away lines.
"I knew about him the way you know about a good melon."
Anyway, just wanted to drop by and say goodnight to all. @Bjonston: I talked to Beer tonight, and he says good work. Keep drinking. It's the only way you get to the great terlet in the sky.
@Iceland: Whatever you do, get sleep. And check your messages ;)
@WegeesBored: Glad to have finally solved the mystery of the dual- screen names.
@SteveHoltsMother: Pleasure to make your acquaintance. You give lovely advice.
@Pinekatz: Hey Pinekatz!! I think I'm finally working up the nerve to go to this thing on Monday.
@T.S._delegate: I cleared out the cache and had to re-login to everything. So I thought I'd try that old account. I was surprised when it worked so I commented under it for a day or so. No biggie.
hey - I just wanted to come back and say 'thanks' to everyone who said nice things about me, I really appreciate it
and wookie: I hope you burn in hell, you bitter fucking asshole. I mean that. if you're that miserable, go walk in front of a bus - no-one will miss you.

@Iceland_Spar: That was awesome! And totally reminded me to watch the original version of A Christmas Carol. Fuck CGI, that movie scares the bejesus out of me.
Here's the best (and Christmasy) version of Snoopy and the Red Baron (also one of my favorites...Christmas bells, those Christmas bells, ring throughout the land...)
@paige2two: Um, that is amazing. Growing up I forced my parents to buy me every single collect Calvin & Hobbes collection immediately upon publication. I had no idea that musical tributes existed. THE SNOWMEN ARE IN IT! This is making me so nostaligic. I'm buying a Calvin and Hobbes book tomorrow.
@Iceland_Spar: I'm sick, too, Iceland, though probably not as bad, seeing as I'm about to go out on a beer run. I hope you feel better! No yelling! Just peaceful watching of 30 rock episodes. And maybe some hot tea.
@T.S._delegate: TSD! Good to see you - hope you feel better as well! Had to take a 30 Rock respite to catch up on Frontline before my DVR starts erasing them.
@Iceland_Spar: Though, I always find the Frontline's on Christianity quite frustrating. It seems like they can't find a theologian outside of the upper west side, Yale or Harvard. I have yet to see an orthodox Christian theologian ever appear on this show.
@Monkeyrash: That's good, now it really is starting to feel a lot like Christmas. I missed the tree lighting in Washington Sq Park this year and have no decorations up, so haven't been feeling overly Christmasy.
Here's a terrible set of clips with a terrible song over the top of a great movie (sorry, best I could find)
@steveholtsmother: Such an awesome move, I pretty much cry every time I see it. Thinking back on my last long term relationship, I'm pretty sure the seeds of conflict were sown when she said she hates (literally, hates Its a Wonderful Life). What kind of person hates that movie, lol?
@steveholtsmother: The explosion of that turkey has always really disturbed me. I'm too scared to watch this movie this year, our bonuses haven't been announced yet at work, and I'm thinking I may have to go Eddie Griswold to get some results.
@steveholtsmother: Really? I kind of love him and think more of George ready to leave town but hearing there is a run on the bank and he has to stick around and save it!
@steveholtsmother: I love Ben Bernanke (and his little beard). He has literally spent his entire life studying the Great Depression, credit crisises and what government can do to prevent them. Sometimes, I wonder what would happen if we still had Greenspan and Don Evans (or one of Bush's other ridiculous appointments). And then I get really afraid and don't think anymore.
@Iceland_Spar: I really wanted to find the clip of the sledding, or of the tree farm. Those are my faves, and I'm sorry that the turkey disturbs you! (It is fairly disturbing.) And if you have to go Eddie Griswold, well then I am sure that it is justified. You're not planning on putting a pool in with it though, right?
(Thanks for the compliment on my screen name. It's kind of a thinker isn't it? I mean, what do we really know about Steve Holt's mother, other than the fact that she must have gestured VERY emphatically?)
@steveholtsmother: haha, I don't think a pool would fit in my tiny apartment luckily - but I do still have some student loans that look scarier every day i hear more about layoffs.
Didn't they show a picture of Steve Holt's mother in the high school year book in the episode that Gob realizes that he was Steve Holt's father? His mom must have been the most emphatic person EVER. STEVE HOLT!
@Iceland_Spar: First of all, you are sick. You have to take care of yourself.
Bee's Knee's Recipe
2 shots of whiskey
1 equal shot of lemon juice
1 tablespoon of honey
As soon as you sleep that off rent "It's a Wonderful Life," Christmas Vacation," and "Elf." Then, buy the cheapest gaudiest festive lights that you can find. You will feel better.
@Iceland_Spar: Oh, and a pool doesn't have to be expensive. When it is properly accessorized is called a "bathtub, with a duckie in a lake of bubbles."
@steveholtsmother: That sounds delicious actually (though the more I drink, the more deliriously right wing zealotous I become), lol. (I also like Paulson a lot too!)
@Iceland_Spar: O.K., I am more about the secret Bill Maher love. But I respect your love for the right wingers the more you drink. I mean, c'mon, to quote Kathleen Turner, "We all went to college, right?"
