Levin dismisses legal efforts to restrict the movement of the paparazzi as ineffective and difficult to police given how much photogs can make from the photos. He sees a different model emerging:

"Almost all of them want it," he said of the celebrities who show up on TMZ and in other parts of the peepshow media. The real issue, he added, is how those involved can make a buck. “You’ve got to understand, this is a business,” Mr. Levin said. “How do you make money off of a business?”

Only the day before, the rapper Snoop Dogg had proposed more or less the same thing, but from a celebrity point of view. Speaking for a TMZ camera, he advised Mr. Levin to pay up if he intended to keep using the performer’s face on a billboard advertising the Web site.

“You know my slogan, ‘Break bread or fake dead,’” Snoop Dogg said.

For those slow on the uptake, a sidekick translated: “Harvey Levin, send the check."

That's another golden principle the site can add to its Cider House Rules.

The ultimate stalker, "Swimfan" Erica Christensen and Jay Hernandez, the nice-guy Latino from the movie 'Friday night lights," "Chavez" in the "vip" section at Irving Plaza to see the Supersuckers and Social Distortion, 10/10/06. She has a rather large head for her elegant long neck, and a body that's just this side of tomboy. Still cute and very nice skin, though those choppers, and bosoms, are pretty out of control. She grooved and sang along to most of the Social Distortion songs, so must be a fan. Couldn't tell if she and "Chavez" were a couple beyond their current stint on the show "Six Degrees" though toward the end of the show she spotted him in the "mosh pit" and ran out to join him and do a little 'just on the fringe of the pit" slam dancing with him while the VIP bodyguard looked on anxiously. Jay seemed a little too"pretty boy" to be interested in the ladies, but that's just my guess.

"American Gangster" is being shot right outside my office on the corner of 27th & 12th. I just saw Denzel Washington with a very 70's hairdo getting into a giant gold car. (Apparently Russell Crowe is also in this movie. If he shows up I will be running outside and knocking people over in an attempt to make out with him.) Denzel looks pretty good though. He was, however, pretty scowly and he spit on the sidewalk a lot. He must be in character.

Saw Lil Kim wearing pink jumpsuit pants, a green sweater with a ruffled edge, a gray printed tee shirt (her boobs looked huge and fake but totally covered up) at 156 W. 56th Street. She had on huge black sunglasses with pink stars on the sides. She was talking to the doorman - asking him to call up to (her manager?). She was very nice and smiled. I said hello and told her that I liked her music (such lame b.s. I know). All in all, she didn't look so hot at all. Not the greatest looking skin either.

l saw both Hugh Jackman & Jack Black at Nobu last Saturday night (10/7) around 930ish. Hugh was with his wife and another guy. Jack was sitting at the table directly behind Hugh's, I think he was with two other guys, and he appeared to be looking over a movie script. When I walked by their tables on the way back from the bathroom, I heard Hugh speaking in his sexy Australian accent. Also on my trip back from the bathroom, I had to wait by Jack Black's table for a minute as two girls were in my way cause they were taking pictures of Jack Black. He didn't look too pleased, understandably so. The man is trying to eat dinner! When Hugh & his wife were getting ready to leave, they made sure to stop by Jack Black's table for a quick chat. Hugh is really tall and make-you-stop-dead-in-your-tracks-gorgeous in person.

DMX on 114th between Broadway and Amsterdam (where I live) in a broken down car, looking for someone to give his car a jump. He wouldn't sign autographs or want ppl to take pictures with their cell phones and just said that he wanted and jump and leave. He was with a blonde Latina-looking woman who looked like what one would call a "hoochie".

Will Smith is filming a movie in Washington Square Park today and the park is completely shut down. His enormous trailer was parked in front of a building where NYU students have classes making it virtually impossible for anyone to be on time to class. Apparently it's some kind of action movie because I saw him driving a car and looking "intense".

I was walking down 34th street towards 8th Ave and was trying to quickly navigate my way through cross traffic crossing 34th street. I almost ran into Ryan Reynolds and we both shuffled by each other just in time for me to recognize him. When he was past me, I saw him with his arm around a shorter dark-haired woman, but I was not able to see her face. He was wearing a blue oxford style button up shirt and a crimson vertical striped sweater.

Carmen Electra coming out of the daily news building at 9:15 wearing all black topped off by a gold-encrusted prince-type jacket. She's a wee little woman.

Was having a beer at the Spotted Pig on Friday (6th). Bono was dining in the corner around the side of a curtain with The Edge and a young couple. When he left his minders were very low key allowing me to go up and shake his hand. Reminded him of a night that a friend of mine had in Monaco where he had Bono in a headlock! Too funny... he remembered - there were some rich Middle Eastern men who paid the bill! Nice guy - was wearing those pink glasses he always wears.

Saw Spike Lee, 3rd floor Hamilton Hall at Columbia U around 5:45 PM on Monday night. He was walking back and forth, hanging out. A couple of students talked to him but there wasn't much conversation. He seemed to enjoy being recognized. Not sure what he was doing there.

Just got back from the premiere/afterparty of "Driving Lessons," (at the Chelsea Clearview/Home respectively) starring Laura Linney and Rupert Grint. Laura looks amazing in person, so much younger than on screen. Rupert was adorable, and handled himself extremely well among the drunk fans more than twice his age fawning over him all night. He even managed a swig or two of beer until his parents/publicist grabbed it away. The premiere was hosted by the Observer, and Mr. Observer himself, aka Jared Kushner, was there as well. Absolutely adorable, incredibly humble, the type of nice guy who makes you wish he was an asshole so you could be justified in hating him for his wealth. Unfortunately, not the case. Fortunately, I'm shallow enough to hate him anyway.

Elizabeth Berkeley walked right by me on the street on 23rd and 8th, talking on her cell phone. Was wearing large dark sunglasses (despite the cloudy weather), black jeans, tall black heeled boots and carrying a shabby-looking orange tote bag. Her curly hair was pulled back in a ponytail.

I just saw Billy Crudrup in the cafeteria at the Metropolitan Opera; he was getting a turkey burger. Very cute but creepy mustache. I'm hoping it's for a role.

Oct. 9th: Saw Sting on the fifth floor of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Building, getting a tour before he plays some kind of corporate gig with gift bags. He looks great in a nicely cut suit...yoga yoga yoga.

Oct. 9th: Saw Sandra Bullock on her way into the premiere of her movie "Infamous" at the DGA on 57th St. Her asymmetrical, backless dress looks a little precarious, but her skin is gorgeous, and she's rocking the double headband with messy hair look.

On Friday the 6th of Oct I saw Martin Scorsese coming out of the Directors Guild Theatre. He seemed shorter in person. Everyone just stopped and watched him walk by, it was a bit dramatic!
I just saw Mary-Kate Olsen in Milk and Cookies Bakery in the West Village. She ordered a vanilla latte, and of course no cookies! Although, her agent did make a point to mention that the giant homemade Oreo that he ordered was for the two to share. I think not, she looked like she was about to break in half.

Anderson Cooper walking up Seventh Avenue, between 31st & 32nd Street, just under the horrendous FUSE sign across the street from Madison Square Garden. He was dressed all sporty with a baseball cap covering his signature white locks and a coat slung over his right shoulder. The look on his face was decidedly contemplative and he seemed much smaller in person.

A much thinner Dianne Wiest looking fabulous with her flawless skin peering into the window at Shoe Mania at Broadway and 14th street. She carries herself really well.

Saw "A Million Little Pieces" fraudster James Frey dining at Babbo with two attractive women and another man. He was in great spirits, talking animatedly in his whiny voice. A diamond stud glinted in his right ear.

Outside MTV studios on 44th around 6pm, Nick Lachey in his trailer applying makeup for something uninteresting I'm sure. Looked like maybe a video shoot or something. Just a lot of trailers and a table of food intruding into the sidewalk space with some crazy woman yelling to stay outside of the cones.

Yesterday while having lunch at Veselka I saw star of Entourage, Adrien Grenier, walk by. He has gotten scruffy and looks much better that way.

Last night after yoga at OM yoga, above the Strand on 12th street, I saw Harvey Keitel. He must have been there for the Open to Desire workshop. He looks scruffy too, but still handsome.

Oct 12th @ 7pm: Saw Kal Penn (Indian guy from Van Wilder/White Castle) at Greenwich and 10th street. He was walking briskly with a guy friend. He was dressed casually in a green tshirt and looked so very normal. Yelled his name out and he totally acknowledged me like he knew me. Oct 12th @ 9pm—Saw Chris Noth @ the same spot. Was sporting a tan suit and was in deep discussion with a male friend as they strolled by my table. Looked very handsome and younger in person. He is very tall!

Rosie O'Donnell, at the Barbra Streisand concert at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, sitting on the front row. She had a purple blouse on and was wearing a lot of make up underneath her contractually long hair. At every break a bunch of hangers on would approach her to greet her. She was very gracious about it. Barbra, by the way, didn't drop any f-bombs and joked about the whole incident by saying that you can't take Brooklyn out of the girl. Go Babs!

Pretty boring sighting, but....walking home today at around 5:45 pm, I spotted Donald Sutherland across the street being filmed (movie? TV show?), getting in and out of a town car on 9th avenue between 58th and 59th. Looked very old/frail, wearing dark overcoat, hardly recognized him.

Conan O'Brien sat next to our table at Franny's in Brooklyn yesterday evening. He was eating with 2 women at 8.45pm and was super into the food. I think he's a regular there.

Walked by a rumpled Hugh Grant. Wearing thick glasses, professorial blazer, and pensive expression, apparently trying (and failing) to look intellectual.

Saw Keanu Reeves at The Pinnacle Deli, alone and incognito, then chatting up (in a very friendly manner) a gorgeous titian-haired petite thing who was celebrating her 20th birthday with friends - she approached him shyly and he came to their table and sang Happy Birthday to her and gave her a kiss, then sat down with them. He looks very young and stunning, if somewhat rugged, in person.
I saw Law and Order SVU's B.D. Wong waiting for a bus on 14th street. He was wearing a pink collared shirt, baggy jeans, black Chuck Taylors and sported an army buzz haircut and thin glasses. Seems really tiny in person.

Just saw the Married with Children Ed O'Neil star loading up on several magazines at the newstand on the corner of 57th and 6th. Pretty much still looks the same, though a little heavier from his TV days.

Spotted Richard Belzer on Thursday 1:45 PM having lunch outdoors with a (male) friend at Nice Matin (79th & Amsterdam), and talking to a woman (fan) about her dog and petting it.

While going to check out the plane crash about 30 min after it hit, I passed by an unhappy looking Regis Philbin, who was walking south on 1st ave between 69th and 70th street. He was looking quite tan and had an extremely well tailored suit on.

10/11—Will Janowitz (Finn Detrolio) at the Gramercy Cafe neighborhood greasy spoon at 17th & 3rd, around 2 pm. With a guy friend, and gesturing dramatically with his long arms. Around 9:20pm on the 102 bus: Marilyn Sokol (Meadow Soprano's one-time shrink), looking like a drowned rat like everyone else that night.

This one's for real New Yorkers only...Saw Hedda Nussbaum (of Joel Steinberg fame), corner of 9th St. and 4th Ave. Talking loudly on her cellphone about how "this was a different kind of back-pain...blah, blah, blah". Rockin' a major 70's era Jew-fro with a half-grown-out blond dye job, totally white in the roots region (I guess she gave up the babushka head-wrap thing). BTW, never believed her end of the story. I think she helped beat that poor girl to death.

Just saw Fred Schneider from the B-52s walking down West 4th street. He wore a jacket and plaid pants and seemed like he was lost/looking for building numbers.

Jimmy razzle-dazzled the crowd in a sharp suit, while Mario sported his signature fat man cargo shorts, hot orange crocks, and a polar fleece vest. Both took several trips to the bathroom... They were later joined by Moby, who appeared to not be using the internet.

Friday October 6th @ 8:00pm in the audience of a performance of A Chorus Line at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre Katie Couric, Rod Stewart and Barbara Walters. Rod Stewart snuck out before the lights came up but Barbara stayed to take it all in.

Double Whammy. First almost ran into (collided) with Oprah w/ assistant and body guard 5th Ave. and 49th. Got photo. 3 hours later followed a shaky looking Victoria Silverstedt as she strutted 5th Ave, near 50th in 4 " leopard skin stilettos and ducked into one of the shops that I probably couldn't fake my way into. Her legs were obviously having trouble keeping those shoes straight.

Rachel Weisz and Ryan Reynolds filming a movie at around 5:30 on Friday on Prince and Mott. Rachel is stunning and as most celebrities are, much tinier and skinnier in person. Ryan is a tall delicious drink of water.

I just saw Calvin Klein dining with an ordinary looking man at Bar Pitti. I knew it was him from the start, however, my date an the table next to me needed some convincing. Very skinny...but fairly good looking for an old guy. Signature glasses made it obvious

I have been reading that Jake Gyllenhaal as been around the West VIllage area all week. I am sitting in August for brunch today at 12pm and as I look up, Jake Gyllenhaal walks in at 12.10pm . He was alone and seemed to know the staff working there saying hello and walked straight to the back of the restaurant. Went to the bathroom to see if he was eating alone and was eating with a beautiful young brunette woman. He was smiling and was very casual in a grey sweater.

Saturday night 10/07 at 10:00 p.m., Charlie Rose sat down next to my table at Cafe Luxembourg (70th and Amsterdam) with a beautiful and very young and stylish Asian woman. They had a quick bite and left holding hands. It seems Mr. Rose is no longer dating Amanda Burden. He looked tall, healthy and handsome.

I saw Amy Sedaris sitting on a bench outside beard papa's with some guy all in black with glasses chatting while getting photographed by a guy. Wouldn't have noticed them if the photographer hadn't been getting in everybody's way.

Just saw Tim Robbins rollerblading down 7ave south at west 10th at 245 on sunday with a hockey stick in hand. He is quite tall on rollerblades.

David Lynch at the Sarabeth's on 59th Street at 2 p.m. Sunday October 8. He's just as eccentric in real life as one expects him to be, and smokes his cigarette as if he was in a film noir.

Big Boi was sporting some major bling, but Andre was surprisingly toned down. Andre was a lot shorter than I expected him too. They both looked very friendly and shook a few people's hand

Ethan Hawke was standing on w22 and 7th avenue arguing with some girl who looked like his girlfriend? they caught my attention because of their noisy arguing.

Almost collided with a spectacular looking and very tall Sigourney Weaver Friday afternoon, 10/6. I was on my way to visit my boyfriend who works at the Calvin Klein offices at 205 W39th when Sigourney, in a dark brown trench hurriedly left the building via the side entrance. Up close, she looked her age, marvelously I should add. The woman hasn't had work done because she's all wrinkly which I so totally love. Please, please grow old gracefully and do not go the Mary Tyler Moore/Faye Dunaway/Jessica Lange route.

Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber walking on Mercer between Houston and Prince. Liev was walking a golden cocker spaniel and Naomi, a very small yorkie. Liev was looking VERY scruffy and they were both wearing sunglasses and looking inconspicuous.

Neil Patrick Harris at the 11pm show of "Evil Dead The Musical" at New World stages, West 50th. Looking good, wearing a grey t-shirt, sat on the aisle.

Saw Daria Werbowy at Apple Store in SoHo just before noon. She was in a hurry in a Boho Chic outfit, and raced up the futuristic glass stairs to get something before people could recognize her.

On Sat at Lincoln Centre, saw Kristen Johnston all wrapped up for the cool weather up top, and black leggings & jean skirt on the bottom—legs so skinny, and not quite as "powerful-looking" as she seems on tv — very cute.

Saw Fred Armisen alone drinking coffee at a diner on the UWS Sunday at around noon. He was wearing shades indoors which I'd normally say was lame, but so was I, as there was an annoying glare coming through the window.

Saw Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson at the Regal Cinemas at Union Square on Saturday afternoon. They were there at 2:00 trying to get tickets (unsuccessfully) for the 3:15 show of The Departed. Like us, they had to settle for the 3:45. She is absolutely gorgeous, and he looked better in person than I thought he would. Sort of felt bad for them, since a gaggle of thirteen year old girls were following their every step as they killed time.

I was sitting in a cab at a stop light and Helena Christiansen walked throught the crosswalk with her child dragging a stroller behind her. She looked kinda grungy but pretty...very nice complexion. It was Saturday Oct 7 at 1pm.

Continental Flight 638 - Newark to Miami 8:30 pm: Hotel billionaire Andre Balazs practically ran me down when they announced First Class could board the flight. I sat directly behind him on the flight where he proceeded to down about a bottle of red wine and stood up to use the restroom at one point and practically broke his skull on the TV above his 1A seat. Pretty funny, considering the TV never came back down after that. Short, frail and pretty ho-hum, photographs well I suppose.

Sunday afternoon - spotted Robin Williams (looking great post-rehab) doing shtick outside saint ambrous on perry.

About 30 min ago I saw Rosario Dawson and some scruffy-looking/east village looking woman sitting near Hearth restaurant on 12th. Overheard her saying "tonight's awards" and scruffy girl asked who are they again? and Rosario saying something ,"Pflag...it's important...family." Is Rosario gay? Or coming out? Inquiring minds...

I saw Susan Sarandon at the Met yesterday in the Cezanne to Picasso display. My boyfriend asked me, "Doesn't that lady look like Susan Sarandon???" I was like, "It is Susan Sarandon!" I was very surprised he noticed before me! She was with her 2 daughters (I believe). She looks pretty true to her moviestar image. It was funny because no one noticed her at all!

My friends and I saw James Denton (Mike on Desperate Housewives) at Park Avenue Country Club solo, catching the Dodgers game. No one paid attention to him until some "desperate housewives" type fans offered some free drinks.

830pm @ Nobu 57: Saw Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams dining with a group of 6 other men and women at Nobu 57. Heath's hair looked long and scraggly but Michelle looked cute.

I just saw Anderson Cooper walking down carmine between bleecker and bedford. had heard he was only into young black/latino/blatino/blaxican guys, so imagine my surprise at the young WHITE boi by his side.

Saw a very orange Geraldo Rivera holding hands with a trophy brunette strolling down 33st between 7th and 8th avenue at 7:20PM on Monday Oct 9th.

Shopping bags in tow, Jack Black grabbing a regular slice and a soda at Famous Ray's Pizza on Prince Street in SoHo AND accepting it for FREE after being recognized by the cashier.

Saw Anna Paquin at the Sunday matinee of SubUrbia at Second Stage Theater. She was, most probably, there to see her boyfriend Kieran Culkin (who was amazing). She looked stunning. Thin, not scary thin, but none of her Circa-X-Men cleavage in sight. She was wearing jeans and a grey sweater. Her hair had red highlights. No makeup, but stunning nonetheless. She didn't appear to be trying to conceal herself at all. During intermission, she very excitedly greeted a young girl in the audience: a friend she hadn't seen for a long time.

Saw DMX at JFK International Airport at the Jet-Blue terminal. Was with a tall attractive blonde and his entourage waited outside with a blck suv. He waited by the baggage carousel to retrieve his luggage. He posed for a pic and shook his hand. Very friendly to everyone. Appears exactly the same in person as on TV.

Rhea Pearlman was just standing next to me at Westside Market (15th and 7th Avenue) ordering Nova Lox and doing some shopping. I accidently cut her off in an aisle and motioned for her to go ahead and she smiled and was like go ahead, I am still shopping. This was at 8.15am today, October 10th.

Yesterday I saw Ren e Zellweger at the checkout in Wholefoods at Columbus Circle around midday. She was looking very thin and a lot prettier in person than she does in the movies.

My friends and I saw Elijah Wood at Epstein's Bar (Stanton and Allen) last night, Oct. 9th, around 10:20. This was around the time that the Big Quiz Thing was getting out. Elijah and his friends were outside having a few drinks. He had a goatee and short hair, black tee shirt, and a messenger bag—basically the LES wardrobe. I was glad to see that I am considerably taller than him, but I guess most people can claim that. . .

I saw Dianne Wiest at Burritoville on 8th and 23rd when she walked past my table. I didn't say anything, but went near the front (near where she was standing) to get more salsa and verified it was her when I heard that signature voice of hers. She was with a young woman who had long reddish hair, possibly her daughter..? She sat pensive, facing the floor for a few minutes while the young woman ordered. They talked about seeing a movie, which I might also assume might have been her most recent film, "A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints". I'm actually off to see the film this evening. She very beautiful in person.

Saw Alan Ruck (of Ferris Beuller fame) riding his bike in Battery Park by the Water Taxi kiosk, he was looking pretty normal and all, came by asking when the next boat was and saw me being helpful to a few other customers and gave me a heavy handed pat on the back when I pointed him and a tourist to the right place.

Sighting: Ron Perelman and Gina Gershon getting into a car alone, looking VERY intimate. He actually looks better in real life. They're both really tiny.

You know, you sort of have to hand it to Gina Gershon. Lady has been acting steadily since the early 80's and at 45 remains a C, maybe even B-list sex symbol. And for what? Doing a lesbian scene with Jennifer Tilly ten years ago and somehow managing to come out of a starring role in Showgirls with her dignity intact. Okay, in fairness, that last part was impressive.

Now, it would appear Gina has set her sights on Revlon billionaire and marriage enthusiast Ronald Perelman. As you have no doubt heard - if you are the sort of person who reads this site, and we suspect you are - Mr. Perelman's most recent marriage, to actress Ellen Barkin, has just come to an end. So, right about now is when he starts looking around for a shiny new younger woman to make him feel less short, round and bald. Gina, smartly, has stepped up to the plate.

Granted, Perelman kind of seems like a dick, and no, he doesn't appear to have a neck, but dude is totally loaded; and there isn't much a girl can't overlook when it comes to a mega-yacht. Also, it looks like spending a few years as the little fella's wife really pays off.

Sat across from Ivanka Trump and Topher Grace at the Spotted Pig on Friday night 9/29 around 10 pm. Topher was there first with some other guy and then Ivanka showed up with a friend. Looked like a double-date. Topher and Ivanka chatted basically the whole time while the other two looked somewhat bored.

On Friday night, I ran into Ivanka Trump and Topher Grace in the back part of Sway. I was a little drunk but I remember she looked very striking in person and I could have sworn he had frosted tips.

Sasha Baron Cohen was at Yom Kippur Services on 110th Street and Broadway at Ramat Oreh Congregation. He was wearing a funky bukharien yarmulke and was awkwardly tall in a sea of diminutive Jews. Surprisingly, no one really noticed him.He went up to the Torah for a honor that Kohanes (descendents of Aaron) - remember his last name is Cohen which means he's a Kohane. After coming down from the Torah I shook his hand. He ducked out of the synagogue minutes before the service ended which left some wondering if they actually saw him.

Penelope Cruz and Pedro Almodovar at 10:15pm Saturday 9.30 at corner of10th and Broadway. They paused at the corner, looking a bit lost.

Just passed Kate Bosworth outside my apartment on 13th/8th... Full on winter coat, tall boots and bag- all black. Day-glo blonde hair, seriously freaky looking!!! Her model boyfriend looked good.

Spotted Senator Clinton shopping at ABC Carpet and Home. By the way she was looking around, it seemed like her first visit to the place. She was being trailed by two cute SS agents who I originally mistook for a gay couple.

So I'm sitting with my boyfriend in the balcony of Town Hall at the Sufjan Stevens show on Friday the 29th, partly ecstatic that I'm going to see Sufjan and partly laughing at the obviousness of all the hipster folk ..there was a guy wearing a "Scritti Politti" shirt somehow trying to reach the 80's trivia nerds and be ironic at the same time. *sigh.* Anyhow, close to the start of Sufjan's set, my boyfriend happens to see a woman dressed in various layers of black wearing a large capey-coat walking extremely strangely to her seat..like an exaggerated bad runway walk that would have made even Miss Jay scoff. He said "who the hell walks like THAT?" in a rather incredulously annoyed tone. I looked up and said "that's because it's Parker Posey, and she's probably high". She was with a smaller guy who seemed kind of gay, and she even did a little wave to her hipster fans from her seat. Funnily enough, while Sufjan played 'John Wayne Gacy', she and her companion did a quick dash out the door, only to return after the song casually rubbing their noses. Sudden allergy attack? Anybody's guess. Sufjan Stevens? FANTASTIC show.

Yesterday 10/1, at Back to the Land on 7th Avenue in Park Slope- My husband & I were in line behind Jennifer Connelly, Paul Bettany & their cute, well-behaved son. They bought a bunch of health food & seemed so totally nice. Not to mention they're the hottest couple on the planet. That was quite the Sunday treat.

Uma Thurman enjoyed front row seats at the Absinthe late show in the Spigeltent on Saturday night. She was so impressed with the Norwegian rubberman that she gave him a personal standing ovation. Even with no make-up she looked stunning.

Winona Ryder at INA Women on Prince street in NoLiTa consigning all the clothes she gets for free from Marc Jacobs. The staff had to explain to her several times how consigning works, but she still looked confused and started trying random clothing items off the racks. Super tiny and aging.

I spotted Steve Martin walking alone on 72nd Street Transverse on the west side of Central Park Sunday at 11 a.m., looking dapper and happy in a natty suit and nearly translucent yellow rain coat that flapped behind him. He wore dark sunglasses and a baseball cap. Other than the baseball cap, very chic. He strode confidently down the center of the road, unnoticed by half-marathoners who had just finished the "Greta Gallop."

Saw Matthew Modine at Joe the Art of Coffee, 141 Waverly Pl, in the Village at noon or so today. Bearded with jeans and green tee shirt. Got a coffee to go.

At around 7pm on saturday I saw Scarlett Johansson walking east on Houston, right past Lafayette. She's tiny. And gorgeous. Her hair was a few shades darker than it appears on her latest movie poster. An hour later I saw Julianna Margulies with some guy in the Aroma cafe on Houston. I couldn't tell if she was giving me a dirty look, had something in her eye, or wanted my table. Then I found five dollars.

Magic player JJ Redick and French girlfriend having a PDA heavy diner at> Gotham B&G. Both very good-looking. A guy asked him for an autograph as they> were on their way out. I left at the same time, he had a town car waiting. I'm pretty sure he said something about the Mercer Hotel.

September 29, 7:30. Matthew Broderick keepin' it real on the orange line, or maybe he's still a little shaky about getting behind the wheel. Had his arm in a sling. Backed up against the train door trying to be inconspicious, maybe because he saw me staring. Only a few people stole glances at him and I think everyone else didn't notice. Had bedhead and had that cranky "don't talk to me" look.

Mark Ruffalo was ordering a fruit smoothie (red!) at The Pinnacle Deli on 115th and Broadway. Clean cut, in black jacket, with a bit of gray in his hair, and very polite. I told him I was a fan, and he introduced himself and thanked me. MUCH cuter in person that even his cuteness in movies would have you believe!

Janet Jackson, entering the ParkerMeridian hotel on 57th around 2pm today, wearing a big nylon jacket with bright orange sleeves. Looks good though.

Isabella Rossellini on Air France flight 008 to New York last night looking very much like her mother from the neck up.

Spied a haggard-looking Jane Pratt at Smith and Warren Streets in Cobble Hill Sunday. She was very blonde, slim, and youthfully-dressed in a mini and flowing top, but looked old and tired. Was carrying a Scoop bag.

Saw Bridgette Moynihan at corner of West Broadway and Spring. Pizza to go in hand. Is very tall and effortlessly beautiful!

Rachel Weisz and Darren Aronofsky, 10 minutes ago walking with their bebe at Washington Sq. Park East. She's gorgeous!! Bebe was crying. Darren didn't look nearly as guilty as he should be for eating part of my soul with Requiem for a Dream.

In front of my apt, W.18th between 7th and 8th, there is a bench and when I came home from work yesterday GOB (aka Will Arnett) was sitting on it with a brunette. He was wearing a red, white and blue track suit coat and jeans and saying "And then when the door opened, I was like 'oh man'" Looks the same in real life as he does on TV.

Mr. T rocking an American flag bandana and a young asian girlfriend, outside the Daily News building. Lots of loud mumbling with a mild palsy, but still had some playful growls and advice for the fans

2pm Tuesday October 3rd. Just ran into Stephanie March of Law & Order (married to Bobby Flay) on the corner of Broadway and 52nd. Looking smokin'in a tight black tank top & high black leather boots talking on her cell phone. She looks much more demure on TV.

Walter Cronkite in Penn Station, in a wheelchair, being pushed by a red cap. A woman in black walking next to him asked if he wanted to go shopping. Helooked at her with mild amusement. 12.28pm, 3 October 2006.

Saw Dylan McDermott and his wife Shiva Rose at Craft restaurant last night. Didn't see any alcohol. He was looking stubbly as usual. Shiva looked delectable, but not as delectable as the doughnuts and chocolate sauce I had for desert.

I just saw a scruffy-looking Jude Law riding and chaining up his red bike on 20th Street between Park and Broadway. No idea where he was going.

Saw Dean Winters of Oz and Law & Order fame this afternoon around 3 pm walking by The Little Owl. Scruffy, tired and looked like he was doing a walk of shame. Not as wrinkle-free as you would think.

Saw Christopher McDonald (Shooter McGavin) chatting away walking down bleecker and leroy smoking a stoagie with two other guys puffing away.

September 29th, 8:00pm: 44th and Broadway. James Lipton (Inside the Actor's Studio) and wife at The History Boys sitting two seats down from Gary Busey, of all people, and male companion. They both looked really old, but Busey looked downright scary!

At the Russian Vodka room...figure skater Oksana Baiul with fashion designer Levi Okunov. They were last seen as couple at the Heatherette show during fashion week.

October 1 @ 9pm: Carrot Top at Firenze at 83rd & 2nd. Eating with female companion. Super super buff. I'll refrain from any harsh comments about him b/c he wished me happy birthday.

On Friday, September 29th, Kate Bosworth and her very attractive model friend bonded over dinner at [redacted], the Brazilian Churrascaria located in the Flatiron District.

1. If you are a publicist sending in a sighting, don't make it obvious that you are a publicist. We don't like publicists, and we don't like helping you promote your client. Try not to let us know that you're the enemy. Suggested tactics include not using your company email, not naming your flack firm in the signature, and not asking us to contact you if we have any questions.

2. When you insert boldface in your email, we know what you're plugging. That means we're going to remove the name of whatever it may be, just like we did above.* Especially if we've already read elsewhere that your venue has resorted to desperate PR work.

3. While we're sure Kate Bosworth was seen at the venue, you cannot possibly expect anyone to believe that she was having dinner. At a place that serves endless, giant platters of meat, no less. If you said Kate Bosworth was sitting there and watching "her very attractive model friend" eat dinner, maybe we'd buy that.
