I would have written:
"Listen up citizens and dopefiends: the fucknut Repugs shitted up the place while simultaneously driving us off a cliff and shooting people in the face. Now they're in Congress whining and stonewalling. If you want this crap fixed it's going to take more than 7 months, assholes."
@BxgrlJeri: Aren't there only like 20 Republicans left in Congress? If Democrats don't want their input, they really don't need it, now do they? Ever think that every Democrat is not a Nancy Pelosi clone? Now, I want you to go back to the drawing board and come up with a more accurate statement.
I do like the style. Don't change that.
@BxgrlJeri: Touche, but come on. You have the majority in the House and a filibuster proof Senate majority. How do you put any piece of failed legislation on Republicans?
It's so cute how the White House just won't give up on the New Foundation. Every once in a while it shows up in a speech, gains no traction, and quietly returns to the purgatory of failed but not-yet-abandoned slogans.
Well, if the rhetoric becomes inaccurate, as it was, it has to be realigned. Frankly the wording on the left was a bit too hasty and optimistic. Kudos to the White House for keeping the site updated and typos in check, "restoing" my faith in federal government; at least on a digital level. The Bush whitehouse.gov, on the other hand, persistently stated that Dick Cheney was classified as human, when I know for a fact he's a cylon.
I am furious at the editors for stripping me of my star. I thought I had earned it, over a year of faithful (and often funny) commenting. If the star is not returned, I'm gone. You may want that, anyway. If so, Good luck.
Would one of the editors care to point out why I lost my star? Or re-lost my star, as the case has it? This is fucking insulting. If you're going to change someone's status unilaterally, have the fucking balls to tell them.
Unless, that is, you just really get off on making anonymous decisions with no transparency.
power to the people right on. makes sense. one question re feeding the trolls: there is something righteous and educational and fun about taking down trollery, and it has led to some of the most interesting threads ...
also, this does seem to be the end of the fnff ... alas
The reverse chronological seems nice, but as the post wears on, you'll find the posts are less interesting and insightful, and frequently double posts of something said earlier.
Are you suggesting that the blogosphere become a meritocracy? Next thing you know you'll be advocating something really outrageous like substantive health care reform or corporate accountability...
Thank you for reducing the majority of commentators to the equivalent of sewer mutants. Also, placing the expand thread button at the very bottom of the page guarantees that very few people will ever bother to use it. Real classy Denton. Judging from your memo though, I highly doubt you care. You seem to have as much consideration for your readers as you do for your writers.
@Charolastra: We're going to make the expanded view a default for people who hang out in the comments. And it's pretty easy to expose a comment: for instance, my reply now will push yours to the top.
@Charolastra: The majority of commenters are sewer mutants. Check out the internet sometime. Now that we (writers) have an infrastructure based around good information literally rising to the top, comments here will be less of a peanut gallery and more of an appendix to our work. But more important: we're cutting out the assholes and making this a better place to be.

Use your stars for good and not evil! I made a harmless response to a troll and didn't realize I was promoting them!
