Er, I'm thinking more than likely that auction house basically said, "How are we going to sell a 7 foot tall painting of Michael Jackson being knighted in what looks like the Fantasia Disney Castle OR the other 2,000 items of Fucking Weird that we have here?! I know let's cut our losses and sell this entire crime scene playground to some yahoo out in Denver who wants to name it all Jackoland The Pedophile Fun Factory Touch Museum and turn a small profit."

Chris Rock used to have the same bit about understanding why OJ did it.

This is really not surprising. What sane man would not have murderous thoughts when seeing a 19 year old kid spend his money and bang his wife. Especially when that money came at the price of looking and feeling like Hogan. That man is beat the hell up.

I am sure he was an awful husband in some regards. But I understand Hulk understanding OJ.

@resipsaloquacious: Uh. She's not "his" wife anymore. They split up. Which means she can fuck any 19-year-old she wants and he's not allowed to get jealous or enraged that someone else is pawing the goods. That goes for Linda, too, by the way. They're both gross, but divorce means you can get on with your romantic life and the other person doesn't get to fantasize about cutting your throat.

I kinda get what Hulk is saying, but it's a really dangerous thing to say. Clearly he's not saying that he thinks it's a good idea... but that he understands the emotional reaction. The difference being that OJ acted on the emotional response instead of working through it the way sane people do and handling the entire scenario like a human being, with court filings, TROs and other such legal courses.

But that's a really, really dangerous thing for anyone to say, especially a celebrity. That's the kind of thing that can bury a flourishing career. Luckily for Hulk, his career is hardly "flourishing", so he'll probably survive this unscathed so as to continue his slow, downward slide into obscurity.

I'm sure his soon-to-be ex is just tickled pink to see Hulk traipsing about town with a chippy barely older than their daughter. It is no longer his Escalade or his bed and she soon won't be his wife anymore. He have a big shot of STFU right about now.
