Earlier this evening, The Dark Knight Rises director Christopher Nolan issued the following statement regarding the Dark Knight shooting in Colorado:

Anticipation for the return of Batman will pack theaters until they are unbearable during this and the next several weekends — and The Dark Knight Rises knows it.

Apparently it's about a bunch of villains fomenting revolution to put awful rich people in their place. Uh, a bunch of Hollywood fat cats are going to make $17 bajillion off of Occupy Wall Street? Great!

Occupy Wall Street's Zuccotti Park is the place for rappers and movie stars to see and be seen. A new rumor boosts the A-list cachet of the place: Christopher Nolan's new Batman movie might film some scenes there!

We all know that actors, directors, and producers make a lot of money, but Vanity Fair crunched the numbers and tried to figure out just how much cash everyone brought in last year. Their grosses are a little gross.
