I just lost so much respect for Chuck Todd when I read that he makes "friendly office bets" with that toolbag Tapper. Goddamnit Todd, I was just getting used to seeing you in a suit and tie!! #media
By Adam and all the polytheistic naming gods, why not "Tablets," people? Like Moses' two tablets, or even "take two and call me in the morning" for a headache of Old Testament-style proportions.
@BookishLookish: Then every edition would have to be a double-issue. The ad stack won't support it.
(Little known save to Torah scholars: When Moses strolled down off Sinai and held up the tablets, a bunch of subscription cards dropped out and flittered to the ground.)
That whole Euna Lee and Laura Ling situation gives me a big sad on. I just can't imagine the dread and hopelessness they must be feeling. Let's hope this gets resolved quickly. Send in Bill Richardson, he's done well with these situations before.
@bytememehard: Imagine how they would feel if they read all the comments from people who feel they Ling and Lee deserved what they got. Are we really that scared and insecure of a nation now that we can't even muster the courage to defend our own citizens, regardless of their actions, overseas?
@pepelicious: What's particularly sick about those comments is that it's most likely that Ling and Lee were set up by their guide(s) and kidnapped from the Chinese side of the border.
@Steve Holt's Mother Part Deux: Aww. They're cancelling Everybody Loves Hassan? Man, I still remember the episode where Hassan's mother and his wife get into a battle over who can make the finest braised lamb, then get into a fight, and in the end both get stoned to death for showing their hair in a public place.
These Osama productions have really gone downhill since the original showrunners left the team. Remember the musical one? That was great. Now they're boring. Can't he get some good guest stars? Even stunt casting would spice this up a bit. Maybe Jean Smart! She's always good.

I awoke this morning so grateful to make myself a cup of coffee; to have that freedom sort of blew my mind today.
