If he's a racist, he masks it very well in reality. I met him during a round of golf in NJ (the second meeting) this past summer and he seemed to be very pleasant. He even came back to the clubhouse and had a drink/bite with us. Two things stood out...........I am half Brazilian, half British and my posse was made up entirely of brown people....... his playing partners were all Latino........and he introduced them as members of his family. I was a bit surprised since he often comes across as being very offensive when it comes to matters of immigration on air. Then again, he was drinking liquor mixed with tap water from the armpit of the United States... so that could account for his behavior. #loudobbs

@If_I_Had_a_Poodle: true.....however, when he initially saw me, I was just walking along the bushes looking for my balls (golf) so he could have gone with the illegal Mexican course maintenance worker assumption. I forgot to mention.......he does indeed have a yellowish tint to his skin tone, even in the shadows of trees but I still think that is most likely from the NJ tap. #loudobbs

Pro: Cheaper than ordering several pilots for when Leno is replaced, his devout audience will probably follow him onto network television, will make about half of the affiliates happier.
Con: Other half of affiliates will revolt, will open the news with "And that was the Lou Dobbs Comedy Hour. He's so funny when he pretends to be serious..." Arizona may get confused and build a wall around its entire border. (If you are outside of Arizona, you can move this item to Pros.)

The price corrected in under 4 minutes... and for every high-frequency-trading algorithm that got robbed of that 1%, there was another algorithm that struck it rich.

If you're average holding period of a stock is 3 minutes, then this caused damage. Otherwise you wouldn't notice. #cnbc

Call me when Blankfein writes his memoirs. If journalists had the sourcing to write about the important elements of this crisis there wouldn't have been one. Then again, the idea of pretending that losses don't exist is somewhat boring to explain - it's still completely underreported that L3 asset valuations are the primary driver of this crisis, the next crisis, the crisis after that, and the crisis that finally destroys banking. #cnbc

@RonMwangaguhunga: LOL, when is anyone on CNBC not very, very angry? I enjoy seeing the look of terror in their eyes any time anyone mentions reinstating banking regulations that kept us all relatively safe for the past 80 years. My favorite show was when one of the women broadcasters said "I don't understand why the middle class doesn't just pay off their credit card bills." Apparently, she was tired of listening to the bitter Poors bitch about paying 30% interest to banks that they were supporting with tax money. Stupid Poors. I'm just relieved Wall Street won't have to forego bonuses this year. The horror, the horror. #cnbc
