@Spirit Fingers: Naw, I hear you. Even in elementary school I used to call extreme bullshit on those textbooks that'd try to tell us shit like how Neptune's core is 84% cupro-nickel and ammonium hydrosulfide ice.
I mean... not only have we never been there, but if, at the time, the best we had was a scant Hubble photograph of a fucking blue sphere, how can they possibly tell us with certainty what the CORE is made up of? I appreciate science, but how is that not pure speculation?
@lobstr: Ya'll need to get up on your astronomical spectroscopy. Helps you evaluate stuff like the properties of planets and star jones weight befoe and after the surgery.
I know a young woman who makes these adorable things for the show and Miss Martha consistently dicks this talented artist out of her due credit every SINGLE time. I'd like to beat MS with that handle-free rolling pin.
@Cynical Media Bitch: The movie about the Emperor Penguins was adopted by some christian loons. "They're like us!" Here are quasi-fish hiking 70 miles to a singles spot, meeting and breeding, then dropping eggs, which are cuddled on the insteps of the fathers while ma goes back to the drink for grub, then she returns (210 miles, if you're counting) to spit up some of her meal for pa and the chick, who've been standing around in a moon crater with 128 mph winds. Then all the survivors gleefully hike back to the sea (that's 280 miles for mama in four months). The end. Sounds like some Baptists I have known, sho' 'nuff.

Not as big of a bitch as Martha, though.
What made -23 ('82) more memorable than -25 (in '85) was the constant 60mph wind. Think Antarctica without the penguins.
