James Holmes, the man convicted for the shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, was reportedly assaulted by another inmate at the Colorado State Penitentiary. The 27-year-old inmate apparently lunged and swung at Holmes but did not injure him on October 8.
The AP just announced that a Colorado judge accepted a plea of not guilty, due to insanity, for the shootings at the Aurora movie theater this past summer.
"First responders to the Aurora theater shooting at first thought the shooter was a fellow officer, and the shooter had taken 100mg of Vicodin about two and half hours before the shooting, according to information from sources." [ABC 7 News Denver]
Dark Knight shooting suspect James Holmes graduated in 2010 with honors from the University of California, Riverside, where he majored in neuroscience. University Chancellor Tim White remembers Holmes as a brilliant student.
