Oh, Rummy, Rummy, Rummy. They're not eager to shake your hand, they're trying to stink-palm you. And may your hands forever smell like ass, you miserable creep.
The three-ring binders of love are Rummy's Rosebud. Did he draw little pink hearts on the covers, like a 50s high school girl?
Of course, if Rummy had meticulously collected all the hate-mail, hate-e-mail, etc. he had received while Defense Secretary, he'd need an Indiana Jones-final scene-sized warehouse to store it all.
I knew Defamer was officially dead when I saw Kathy Griffin referred to as "any old wacko" under it's fair masthead. Rest in peace, Mr. Defamer. We loved you so.
@Dickens_Ghost: You're right--much of it will probably be stuff we know about her already, but I'm hoping she will have new, funny ways to tell the stories.
what more is there to learn about Kathy Griffin? Isn't she one of the most autobiographically exhibitionist people in show business? I don't begrudge her, but it's not like she's a mystery.
@edisdead: Me, I'd like to know more about the split with her creepy ex, who stole a bunch of money for her (or something). I don't feel that episode was ever satisfactorily overblown--something I can usually count on my Kathy for.
Personally, I don't want to read Kathy. I need the voice, the vulgarity, the facial expressions, the fake hair that she says makes her drunk with power. It's a good investment for the publisher because they know she's a work horse and will promote the hell out of it and have them lining up around the block for book signings. Good business decision.
@gladys_kravitz: She's totally worth it. And though it's memoir, it's probably also "general humor", in the mass-market book sense. And she'll sell the hell out of it.
The fact that everyone in the world gets a book deal, regardless of what has happened in their lives, drives me insane, particularly bloggers.Book deals for each of the Sulman Octuplets has probably already been drawn up so they are all set for when they can grasp pencils.
@TheExperience: Look, when you have had a long life of many and various experience, folks want to reasd about it! That's why Milly Montana has, you guessed it, a book deal, to report what she has learned during her 16 years.
@Smitros: I think that Gingrich character is Z list; they book him on Faux Noise only. And he once had a four million book deal for a collection of self-righteous plagiarized lists from the source they all use, Norman vincent Appeal. There were, however, some unrelated facts involved (if unrelated can be involved).
1) Gingrich was majority leader in the House or something.
2) Murdoch wanted to buy more stations in fewer markets
3) Gingrich was in favor of allowing Murdoch all the resources he wanted
4) A publishing unit of News Corpse offered $4 mil for a Gingrich opus.
Not saying there's any connection at all, but it's how publishing works, I understand.
@Uncle_Billy_Slumming: Rachel gives up valuable resource on her program. She and Ana Marie were talking about some friend request from a Repub, and Rachel said, just ignore him, don't officially ignore him through the software, else he'll be alerted.
You think you'd see that on the network evening news?
@Uncle_Billy_Slumming: We're aging then. It's long been a staple of moviedom that they are created, if that's the term, with the 14-year-old boy in mind. For not only will he go back and back to the Bijou due to his short term memory loss, but he'll buy all the cheap plastic crap related to the movie Walmart can pile on the shelves.
She's vulgar, outrageous, and sometimes funny, but give her a break. Condoleaser was, after all, only a House Slave, and should be held to a different standard on that account alone. We all loved Jack Benny's Rochester, right? And Steppin Fetchit, christ, was he a hoot. I know, Rice was the only agent of a deadly catastrophe with an IQ above room temperature, but still.
So, how many dead can we attribute to Kathy Griffin?

"House Slave"?
I think we all know what the term actually is.

Merry Christmas, Jingle Bells,
Christ in heaven and the devil's in hell
Hearts they shrink,
Pockets swell;
Everybody know and nobody tell.
I could never quite understand just why it was that, if everybody know, there was any reason to tell.
