Oh, and I think the valleywag guy gave Never Stop Dancing a star because the valleywag guy is following Never Stop Dancing. But I'm sure the valleywag guy didn't know the history. Never Stop Dancing can be very funny when Never Stop Dancing wants to be. And I, for one, wouldn't stop dancing unless I had to.
@ChuffedLittleMuffin: Good call. Fucking epic song. Written by and given to Mott the Hoople by the love of my life of course. (Hint: It's David Bowie).
Okay, really going out now. It's time to get drunk, smoke a blunt and watch Home Alone.
@OhhYeah: You like Bowie? This comes as a complete and utter shock to me. You should probably find some way of advertising that fact.
Enjoy your night!
Meanwhile, let's dance the magic dance. If there's a particular part of David Bowie's anatomy that stands out in this film, I'd be hard pressed to name it, because I'm not a pervert.
@bjonston: Dude! I saw him open for Amy* Mann for free in San Francisco. Well, "saw" is a relative word as my view of him was blocked by the trees, but still...
Here's the deal. I like art just as much as the next gal. Maybe more so. But this homeless looking ragamuffin really gets my goat, you know? She probably doesnt know anything about art besides the fact that Edie Sedgwick was in the Factory and that Sienna Miller played her in a movie. And FYI Cory, watersocks were sooo last year. I totally already have a pair in pink. You're behind the times, get with the program.
p.s. I'm a smidge tipsy right now, so no hard feelings, k?
@bjonston: In my hometown we had an awesome old Walgreens. In the Hallmark card section there was a counter where you could buy ammo. And there was an escalator to a second floor where you could buy toys and Wrangler jeans for $10 a pair.
They tore it down and built a shiny new Walgreens. I loved that old store. Does everything have to be "new"?
@bjonston: Ja, alles klar. Not the spider, though. I never got that part.
Kind of a creepy Stasi vibe to the video, though, given that by the time the wall came down, pretty much every East German knew or was related to a Stasi agent. They used to follow along behind people to capture their airy essences in jars so if they ever had to turn the dogs on someone, they'd have a scent to go on. Those Germans, always planning ahead.
