I met her when I was 17 and she's BEAUTIFUL. Then I met her again when I was 18 - at a Chicago Public Library dinner honoring John Updike (R.I.P. homie - who is great b/c he signed all 1000 books I brought along lol) and she remembered my name and what school I went to and everything.
She's a real class act. I don't think she forgets names and face - an excellent social grace. Definitely the right woman for the job.
So wait, this is the knew thing to be outraged over? I was still pretending to be outraged over Rahm's basement and Eric Cantor's YouTube video. My, am I behind. I'm moving through four, five populist outrages a day now, you know. My masseuse says it's giving me knots. My tennis instructor says Tom Daschle's limo threw off my game for a week. I can't even count the number of times my monocle has fallen out from widening my eyes in fake horror -- just in the past month!
And now here we have another public servant - on the public payroll - taking something of value (primo seats at a fashion week show) that she otherwise wouldn't be getting for free. I smell a Bush administration entitlement whore!
@nystar2000: Agreed. The rest is not a problem to me. Even in hard times people like pretty things, and a POTUS has got to be one of the most social people on Earth. But giving money to W in '04? Unforgivable. I'm not being snarky. That's really hard for me to overlook.
