I am continually fascinated by the situation of hospitality-providing girls -- not the madams, not the actual professionals, I mean the good-time girls (busty or otherwise) who find a way to get compensated for doing what they probably enjoy anyway: going out and having fun.
No matter how rigorously I bust my tail in grad school, I'll never reach the level these women inhabit in the capitalist hierarchy: Their ratio of reward-achieved-to-effort-expended will always, always outstrip mine.
Kind of makes me wonder exactly whom the patriarchy is supposed to be keeping down, sometimes.
@AzureTexan: Easy for you to say, surrounded as you no doubt constantly are by bevies of gorgeous commenters, flunkies wearing headsets, and unopened bottles of Cristal while you get yor Jho Low on in the roped-off upper chamber of the Gawker commentariat.
Yeah, all of that is shown by the casual wit and effortless grace of your many outstanding comments, BlueTejano. Don't think for a second that those of us with far more modest talents still can't hear you up there.
@skahammer: You're right about that upper chamber: chesty commenters, forgotten Christal, omnidirectional coke lines, prodigal heirs of European aristocrats, profligate scions of expropriating dictators, and me.
But sometimes . . . sometimes, you know, sometimes I just wanna go back to the old ways, like when I stood alone at the bitter rim and shouted bleak soliloquies into the echoing void. Or something.
But seriously. You're too kind. Keep up the sharp commentary. And remember that party girls will die miserable deaths in cold mansions, or maybe not, because you never know, but still, keep it up!
@Mrs.Ataxxia: Sorry, guys. The caption on the Getty pic said it was Beth Ditto and, well, they do look very similar, so I had no reason to believe otherwise.

Take solace, smart person, and wow 'em with wit, insight and occasional allusions to very dead philosophers.
*Waitin' for smart party girls to bust my chops.
