    Hughes's death is untimely and unfortunate, and I'm glad these folks decided to make a film about this relatively reclusive and much-loved filmmaker. A worthy subject.

    I don't think he faded into obscurity. He pretty much chose to stay out of the limelight by choice.

    @Paul.B.Dodd: Yes, but in the world of Hollywood fame obsession, it still is odd to some that he would do something like this at the top of his game.
    Personally, he did the 100% correct thing. Left behind a clear body of work that is respected for years and then went back to his life.
    That makes me respect him even more.
