I want to see a film in which a theater full of people who went to watch Mr Fox gets destroyed by a flying aircraft carrier (full of people who went to watch 2012, somehow, I guess).
@belltolls: You know, I haven't seen the original SCTV since it aired, but I'll bet not a week goes by that I don't think about their "Farm Report" at least, once.
The Messenger is worth seeing, and IMHO, will be an Oscar contender. It's particularly important because of the political climate of the previous administration not allowing any photographs of soldiers' coffins.
If for no other reason, go for Woody Harrelson who is back with a vengeance as an actor after a 5-year hiatus and let Stephen Colbert shave his head last night on his show. Go to the Hulu link to see.
@metoometoo: Yeah, I've actually already seen it when it first came out (under the original title- was just experiencing a mind blank to the proper name, ha), and it is good- as anything featuring Nighy tends to be... #2012
1. Why are trailers so long? We really don't need to see a movie's entire plotline to decide if it's worthy of a theater trip. In fact, the longer the trailer, the less intriguing a movie becomes. One minute max, please.
2. Is it just me, or does "Dare" look like a movie that should have come out around 1995?
@NigelAstydameia: Interestingly, I find that the juxtaposition of the snippets in any movie trailer often has little or nothing to do with the deeper content of the movie. Watch them again after you see the movie and you'll see what I mean. #2012
@PaisleyPajamas: I know what you mean, but Nigel is right, in some cases. I'm thinking specifically of the trailer for the updated "Death Race", which gives away a major plot point (the warden is, shockingly, in on it). Then again, I'm not exactly watching Jason Statham's movies for the character development and nuanced plotting... #2012

I must say though, Pirate Radio is a much better title and more a propros than The Boat That Rocked. #2012

I'm pretty sure this was the pitch for The Day After Tomorrow, another Emmerich travesty of apocalypse porn. #2012
