    Except "Chocolate News" was not a bad show. It was actually pretty good.


    It's the kind of show you expected to be bad, because it has that whole "bad show" vibe surrounding it. So when it came on the air, you thought to yourself: "Oh no, this is gonna be bad." But then, as you watched it, you realized it really wasn't bad at all.


    Admit it, Hamilton: You never actually watched the show, did you?

    Chapelle's Show had alot of hits and alot of misses, but it was original and really funny at a time when Comedy Central lost the Man Show and was getting rid of all those crappy Dane Cook half-hour specials.


    DAG is really a super-talented guy, and while his show wasn't golden, it gave me a good laugh and let me think that not JUST white guys are funny.


    D.L. Hughley should've known better.


    The thing is, people mock these shows as not being up to par. But noone wants to castrate Tyler Perry for making modern day minstrel shows that feed you mouthfuls of bile and comedic sputum

    Actually a lot of black people (me included) hate Tyler Perry for that reason. The real problem is that although those movies are minstrels shows, black people are the ones making sure that it's #1 at the box office.

    Chocolate News was great for 5-10 minutes per episode, but you never knew where they would be hiding.

    Straw man? Where is a conspiracy mentioned? And what have they done with funny Eddy Murphy and funny Chapelle? Are there any funny comics out there any more? The much hyped Dmitri guy hasn't exactly killed it in the few videos we've seen so far.

    @Uncle_Billy_Slumming: Exactly. Dmitri Martin's show was lauded way before it even aired and from what I've seen it's incredibly boring..I'm sorry..'smart'. DAG is actually really funny. The writing for his show was not at all good..I wish he had acted on Chappelle's show and gone on from there with a spin-off of sorts.

    Chocolate News was hysterical. I could listen to David Alan Grier as Maya Angelou reading the phone book all day long.


    Somehow Rock of Love, Flavor of Love, and 90% of whats on VH1 remains on the air.

    I have never seen Chocolate News but I have seen the Hughley show and the Chappelle show and I think it is wonderful these shows are off the air. Although they show those ignorant Chapelle re-runs. (womp womp). Those shows suck and never should have aired in the first place.

    @Macloserboy: @VioletBlue: There's a website online that maps out a big conspiracy theory about why he quit. I think it says something about Oprah, Al Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson not liking the show, and they were plotting his demise if he didn't quit.
